Everytime I come from Florida I go in the old neighborhood in bklyn to get west Indian food I drove the b54 bus past their store and lived on myrtle. I was just their Friday to buy some food to bring home to Orlando Florida .sad to say the food is horrible the staff are very arrogant ignorant and rude uneducated people ive ever seen definitely not the restaurant I remember from late 90s and 2000s .I love west Indian food and people but these folk are very different very hostile and annoying. I hope you change before you loose your business ...I will not go there again rather go to east flatbush and find better west Indian food..and nicer people
If you are looking for high blood pressure then look no further. The curry goat was so salty. I ate 3 pieces and couldn't eat anymore. Who ever is cooking needs to check their taste buds. Their food quality has been dipping for a while now. I may just order the pattys for now on, I've never been disappointed with that.
Food was just ok. Nothing special. I’ve had better. Ordered oxtails and they had a lot of grissle and very little meat. They also didn’t give me my plantains, nor the extra gravy I asked for. Lastly. the young girl at the counter seemed to have an attitude or was just very stand-offish . I said thank you and she put the bag on the counter and walked away.
Love this place. Staff are friendly. Food is bangin' . Try the cows foot. No, seriously. Usually take out. Only complaint: the good stuff runs out early!
The only reason why this place is still in business is because it is not in a Caribbean neighborhood. The food is not good and the service is bad. If you are West Indian you will understand.
The food wasn’t the issue, it’s the nasty a** staff that’s serving. I believe her name is Suzette! All I did was order my food and I received nothing but attitude. Then when she proceeded to the front with my order, she started to sing obnoxiously loud. Please don’t take out your anger on your fellow customers that keeps the business afloat. If your green card didn’t come through it has nothing to do with us. You being over worked and under payed is none of our business! Just guh look a nanny gig like the rest ?
Me & my coworkers got lunch from here ranging from oxtail to stew chicken! It was all NASTY! The oxtail was like rubber balls, the stew chicken was flavorless & the beef roti was dry & unseasoned! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! THEY CANNOT COOK!!!!
If your looking for that carribean taste that won't break your pocket, I recommend this place. They give you fast service and hot homemade food.
Order a curry goat roti … I got a big roti with nothing but mostly potatoes and carrots broccoli hardly no meat, just bunch of bones no flavor very bland…roti skin itself was soggy jerk chicken taste like baked chicken. I recommend just stick to the Patties nothing else
We oder a large oxtail rice and peas,on the side was an other of rice and peas separate, the first bite of rice an peas I took I bite on a stone as big as a bead,it broke my took then,bleeding and all,I was hungry I decided to take a second bite,next stone,I couldn't believe it,I called and complained, I took pictures, went to the store all the boss son said to me ,if I want another meal, after going through such a painful ordeal. ? SMH.
