This place is overrated and overpriced. The restaurant takes so long just to make sandwiches that are tasteless and lacking flavor. The service and food sucks. I requested a sandwich to be done differently because I desired a substitution instead of beef and I was told they don’t do that. Where’s the versatility? 14$ for a huge sandwhich that didn’t even have taste or even salt. It was the blandest food I’ve ever tasted. I wish I could of gotten a refund. If you want quality and taste go somewhere else.
Summary: Customer Rip-Off ! The food you actually get is NOT what the Menu describes. Although they are willing to ADD ingredients & even make subtitutions, the Menu is so large that the order taker was too easily confused. I think there may be a Language barrier at issue here bc I had to use Spanish to obtain Water. The main part of my order was Poached Eggs but after spending 5" to clarify the secondary ingredients, the order taker OMITTED My EGGS!My daughter asked Me to bring her a Lox sandwich. I began that order by saying all Nuts + Seeds must STAY OUT of this next sandwich due to Allergies ! My daughter got one full of Sesame + Poppy seeds. A friend ordered a Hummus sandwich with BARELY any Hummus in it !!!! CLEARLY, the Customer is being Ripped-OFF here both unintentioally & INTENTIONALly...but with a SMILE ! Sorry but that is NOT good Customer $ervice & I will not go back again. Likely these folks are NOT the Original Owner who designed the enticing Menu, but hav tried to exploit the pre-existing cunsumer base for Money only ! They should downsize the Menu, STOP pretending to offer WHOLE GRAIN Complex Carbs, & do a FEW things WELL . Please IMPROVE COMMUNICATION with the people YOU GET MONEY FOM !!!!!An impoverished 70 yrs old woman walked 3 miles to her new pop-up job site & needed to find a reasonably priced Breakfast of HEALTHYfood on this UNusual occasion. I am that woman. I spent 30" online reading the complex, highly customized but well organized MENUMy ❤ was set on POACHed EGGS atop LOX on a WHOLE GRAIN roll or Croissant w Red Onion, Avocado, Greens + Chipotle Mayo. For THAT I was willing to pay $13 - $20. Location beautiful, but no facility for tethering dogs outside. My small quiet dog was already fully walked, so I took him IN w Me. The staff was welcoming + busy working their stations on a mmid-morning w little foot traffic. My 1st time there & I did not use a # menu NUMBER. But I spoke clearly + simply !! I never did get my 2 poached eggs bc the patient order taker's 1st language was not English & my order was botched ! I was distracted by a pkeasant new acquaintance outside, where I sat down to eat. I ate 1/2 of my sandwich B4 realizing there were NO EGGS !!! I was too exhausted from the trial of ordering to try to get my 2 eggs. The Lox. + Avocado were good, but the Ciabatta was NOT Whole grain & it WILL create Diabetes as a staple in one's diet !!!!! NOT OK for a $15 Breakfast !!
Ordered catering for a work event and absolutely loved Brooklyn Bread! They were very kind and reliable, plus the food was amazing. Would highly recommend!
Very good place with some amazing food. Definitely would recommend going here. May I suggest to the owner or whoever that you consider a bacon egg and cheese with cream cheese as a sandwhich idea, I had one once in chicago and it was amazing!!

We hosted an event at our apartment celebrating our newborn son. Family came from all over the country so we wanted to make this very special. We ordered several platters from Brooklyn bread and we couldn’t have been happier with the product. Everything was so tasty and fresh. What made the experience even better was the fact that the food pick up process was seamless. Everything was all ready to go and I had a few people help me load the car. Brooklyn bread, thank you for making our special moment even more memorable!!
My organization put in an order for a large event (75 people) at Brooklyn Bridge park and had a wonderful experience with Brooklyn Bread Cafe. The employees were great to work with, very reasonably priced, friendly and delivered great service on the day! The sandwiches were delicious and everything was well packaged. Would highly recommend for any groups events or for a yummy sandwich!
So thankful for Lenny and his team! Our Foundation Tunnel to Towers ordered catering for 600 people for delivery on Sunday. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. Extremely responsive, timely and helpful. We will definitely be using Brooklyn Bread in the future! 10/10 recommend.
Amazing food! Ordered catering for the office and it was great. The assortment of sandwich was to die for. They really have it dialed down! From the sauces and the meat combination was A1. Thank you again for taking care of us!
