Bozu was an extraordinary experience. Arriving 40 min before close, the staff was extremely welcoming, patient and kind. We ordered quite alot (4 sushi bombs, 3 sushi’s, Japanese curry entree, appetizer and dessert), yet not once did they rush us. We enjoyed every minute of our time at Bozu. The food is melt in your mouth incredible! The drinks are tasty and made with care. I still dream of the choc mousse dessert days later. It’s a quaint street so one can enjoy peaceful moments and savor the delightful treats.Thank you for a truly beautiful summer bk experience ❤️
Incredibly flavorful dishes. Like other reviews suggest, you must try the pork belly dish - which for $12 - is very worth it. I also got the yellowtail toro (there are 3 kinds) and the fish was perfect.
I went here with my food blogger friend last week. Look at how good she is with pictures! The sushi bombs were amazing
What a gem. Everything is fantastic. The edamame has light citrus and smoky flavors, while the soy still shines through. The simmered pork belly literally dissolves on your tongue. Prices are very reasonable for the quality they’re putting out. Stellar experience.
Best. Japanese food. In town. We’ll be finding every celebratory excuse to come back here. And no crazy lines out the door!We were blown away by every dish. The tofu salad, the prawn appetizers, the generous sashimi dishes. I have a feeling every item on the menu is a special experience, even the ones not mentioned in the reviews.
Great izakaya style sushi bar in Brooklyn. Good vibe and great food and drinks! We first went there pre pandemic and again last week. So glad it survived.
Great spot . Cool retro vibes. Good food. Fast service. Love the low bar seats. The sushi bombs appeared to be popular with all the guests. I wasnt crazy about it. I Iiked the crispy shrimp mayo and the Miyazaki style fried chicken
Bozu is a gem of a Japanese restaurant. The unassuming facade hides a cosy red and dark wood restaurant inside. We sat at the bar with the friendly staff at hand. The food is delicious. We had veg gyoza, fried brussel sprouts, edamame, veg katsu curry, tuna sushi rolls and salmon bombs. The sushi was freshly made in view behind the bar. All the food was delicious. The gyoza in particular came out in a frying pan fresh out of the oven. Never had them like that before. Little parcels to peel out of the pan. Also had the ginger-yuzu cold tea which was very moreish.Definitely check this place out!
One of my most favorite Japanese restaurants in NYC. Love the bombs especially with kadaifi. Everything I tried was very delicious. Pork belly, fried chicken, sushi....
I have been here many times over the past 8-10 years and it never disappoints. So happy to see it thriving during/after? The pandemic. The food quality is fantastic and I have always left happy.
