Delicious food, but no respect for dietary restrictions. I have diverticulitis and no sesame seeds…it was in the samosa and bread. The server said no it’s peppercorns. I told him I had a issue and it was ignored. My husband is very allergic to banana, and the fritter was bananas. We were lucky and he didn’t have any. These are extremely dangerous conditions. We quickly left but will never return. They didn’t want to give me the dessert because I was complaining. It was included. It’s a shame the food was yummy, but I’m having a blockage, I hope I don’t end up in the hospital with a attack.
It was a hit and a miss the portions were very small to price ratio, my lamb was too dry my niece ordered a garlic curry dish that had little seasoning, another niece ordered the cauliflower dish and that was excellent. The service was good our wait staff very polite and attentive.
Dal Makhani was not what I usually get from every other south Asian restaurant I’ve ever ordered from (restaurant style) and even make myself. Usually light lentils, buttery consistency, great flavor. This was dark, chunky (whole kidney beans), not great flavor. Biryani was very good, butter chicken so-so, very little chicken. I’ve dined in before, customer service is not great. Chicken Korma I got last time was worst I’ve ever had in my life, had to throw the whole dish away not anyone in the party would eat it.
This is my favorite place for Indian food. The smoothness of the gravies and the subtle way that they chop up the meats just makes their curry dishes taste absolutely exquisite.
Best chicken tikka Masala i have “EVER” tried. After trying many indian restaurants. 5 stars.
Love this food, and I think just because something may not be made in the same way that some people are used to at their home town doesn’t make the place deserve a 1 star rating. These guys know the cuisine and are very skillful and hospitable, the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing at night
Such an incredible restaurant! It’s a low key spot with genuinely amazing food, service, and atmosphere. Waiters are super sweet, don’t rush you at all, and even brought us some rice pudding on the house! This place is a gem in bay ridge!
This was an amazing first impression of Indian food for me.Not only was the food very flavorful and well spiced, but the atmosphere was comfortable and made me feel as if I had stepped into a portal leading me away from bay ridge. The waiters were also very welcoming and had a real smile on their faces whenever I spoke to them.To top it all off, the price was great too - I spent $36 for 2 for more food than we were capable of eating.
Omg gluten free Naan! Food was delicious and lots of gluten free options. The banana pakora were great and even the samosa were gluten free!
My review is not fake. The food is good, fresh and well prepared. Make sure to ask questions about how they prepare and the ingredients they use, as curry dish ingredients vary for personal restaurant recipes. The staff has always been kind and answers all of my questions. Thank you Bombay Grill!
