This place is great! Best oatmeal by far. The coconut base bowl is like eating a coconut Italian icee with fruit but without the added sugar and all natural.
DO NOT COME HERE. Would give negative stars if I could. Was looking forward to trying this place for the first time. Walked 15 minutes and arrived at 8:40am. Website and Google said they open at 8am. When I walked inside, two girls (who looked like they had absolutely no clue what they were doing/were chatting to each other behind the counter) ignore me standing there. After a minute, one of them turns around and says they're closed. I ask what time they open. She says, "wHaT TiMe Is It NoW?" and I say 8:40. She rudely says they open at 9 and turns her back to me and starts chatting to the other girl.How are you running a business if the hours posted online aren't accurate? Why is the door unlocked if you're not open? Why am I wasting my time to walk all the way to this smoothie place to be ignored by two girls who would rather gossip amongst themselves about what they did this weekend instead of serving a customer? There are many better smoothie places around, and I will be going to one of those regularly because businesses like these do not deserve customers.
They take pride in making your smoothies and following your instructions to the letter. I love this location.
I really wanted to like this place. It's a two minute walk from my apartment and I love smoothies. But in the 5 times I've gone in the past ~year since they've opened, I've experienced laughably bad customer service. First few times I chalked it up to being new and needing to train employees. But I've since realized the employees just really don't care. My average wait time has been 15 to 30 minutes...for a SMOOTHIE. And it's not even crowded. Employee will take order, then sit down and watch TikTok for 15 min till I remind them that they need to make me a smoothie. And they always have an attitude. They don't make items according to when they are ordered. Its seemingly random, whatever they feel like making. Some will get orders right away, others wait for half an hour. Just now someone showed up 20 minutes after me, and they made there smoothie immediately before starting mine.I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to either Mr. Mango or the bodega at Dekalb and Carlton to get smoothies instead. Less than half the price and they make them right away. Taste the same as well.
The smoothie bowl was delicious and so well presented, but my partner got oatmeal that left a lot to be desired.
Smoothie tasted good, but wasn’t a good value. I would recommend hitting up a bodega for a better deal

every time i’ve gotten an acai bowl here it has knocked my socks off *_____* idk how they make it taste so good, expensive but the bowls have me out here in 56 degree weather freezing my a** off to eat it
I love Baya bar. I visit the shop about 3 times a week and i'm very happy with my portions and sizes of my bowls. I love the environment and the staff is friendly. Thank you Baya Bar you rock
