It was fine. While the plating was beautiful, the food itself was underwhelming. For the hefty price, we expected excellence. What we received was mediocrity.
I had a semi wonderful experience at Basil Pizza and Wine Bar. The food was phenomenal in all ways. The dishes were unique- not your typical menu. The menu wasn’t too large, making ordering a breeze. However, I was disappointed that there was only a single waiter doing all the work. It was very frustrating to ask for anything, even the bill. Another small complaint I have is the volume of the music. The music was much too loud for others to talk over. All in all, I would come back to this restaurant. The vibe was amazing and the chefs outdid themselves with the flavor on every single dish.L

The staff are amazing. They were helpful in helping is understand the menu before we ordered. The men is so fun!!! It's different, has interesting dishes from different cultures, which I love. The food came out quickly and was JUsT SO GOoD!!! I recommended Basil to my friend for a date the next night. I am definitely going back.

I was looking for a kosher dairy resturants in the Brooklyn area, and I was told to check out this fine bar and pizzeria. We came on a busy night so I have to be objective on how I write this review. My main complaint was the volume of the music that was being played. It sounded like the radio was playing, and it did not fit with the aesthetic of a nice quiet restaurant. The staff are friendly, efficient, and aim to please. They seemed understaffed, but they did their best to make it work. The menu is limited, but they have many classic Italian dishes. They also have a variety of pizzas, pastas, fish, and salads. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of milkshakes, but they have cocktails, fresh coffee, lattes, and espresso. The mac and cheese was really good, but the portion was small compared to its price. If you are looking for a cozy dairy resturant, then I wouldn't recommend this place. If you want to try something fresh and different, the. You should definitely check out basil! Shoutout to the hard working staff.
In terms of kosher dairy, Basil is tops. The food is amazing and the menu is creative. And they know how to throw a party! Always a go-to for me.

The pizza is tops, but my favorites include the gnocchi ai funghi, Burata ensalata, asparagus with a poached egg, cauliflower over carrot puree and the green eggs shakshuka. Came few time to basil and always disapointed of the worker. They just not nice!!! When you ask something they look at you like you annoying. I go there because its the only best kosher pizza in crown height. But that it. And today i saw a mother with a double stroller with new born inside i was like wow a mother with twins baby out of her house with babys that amazing i guess she wanted to enjoy to have lunch they was 1 table available and they ddnt let her yo have it cause with her stroller it was block a littl bit of the space to get the drinks. They ddnt even try to find a solution before she come in they told her no and the attitude was mine. I feel so bad for this mother with twins baby that maybe was her first time out and wanted to have a lunch out of her place.
