Really classic bar with a good range of drink options. Appreciate that they have some fancy stuff and some basic stuff so you don't have to break the bank. We tried a really nice sour which was perfect for a summer night. They also have a few non-alcoholic options for those who are so inclined! We really enjoyed the live music. Wasn't too crazy when we went on a Saturday evening but it is a relatively intimate space so I imagine it could get pretty packed. No cover but they do a collection during the music sets to support the band. The bartender who served us was great and very friendly and worked her tail off all night so hats off to you, girl! Definitely a good spot in music for interesting music and a classic atmosphere.
Found this place accidentally and had great beers and drinks. The music was so great and the clientele was friendly and good spirited. Wonderful place. Can't wait to go back. Live music every day.
Barbès is the perfect casual live music bar that makes life better. Soon good wine some good drinks and usually two live sets of international bands.
Very crowded bar with live world music and young crowd. Can't say they have the best beer or wine selection either.
The venue itself is not so memorable, but the programming is refreshingly unique, with quality acts ranging from classical to folk to jazz. Decent acoustics, and friendly staff. Pricing acceptable. In the aftermath of the 'Rona, musicians would perform in masks except for their ensembles' wind instruments, so security theater is part of the entertainment.
I used to love this place before Covid, it was a wonderful spot to have a beer and enjoy live music.Unfortunately, the last time I went I was charged $20 to find I had to stand halfway out the door to see the show.They seemed quite happy to refund me half of the ticket money claimed to go directly to the band, but I declined not wanting to take directly from musicians.Weird vibes these days, unsure if I’ll return. So sad since I love the Founders Porter and the music they showcase dearly

Groovy, cozy, friendly spot, with great musical acts cycling though. Small space, but roomy enough to cut a rug (or maybe a doormat).
