Vietnamese Bubble Tea
(718) 483-9933

This is one of my two go-tos for Vietnamese food in the neighborhood. There aren't a lot of vegan options on their menu but there are the tofu rolls, tofu salad, and tofu vermicelli bowl that I can get (and I get peanut sauce instead of the regular dressing) - and luckily, I really enjoy them. The bubble teas are also some of my favorites, and they have non-dairy creamer as their "milk" or non-milk teas as well. (Although, I think the Thai milk tea uses condensed milk.)It's too bad their pho isn't vegetarian or vegan - the broth is not veggie-friendly, even for the tofu pho. Also, the tacos use flour tortillas, so I can't eat those either. But the few vegan options are good, and the staff is pretty friendly and helpful for the most part.

The Banh Mi here are so good. They rival some of the best I’ve had in Vietnam. Delicious!

Pho was a little above average. Good not great.BYOB= bring your own bowlPlease stop serving hot soup in plastic containers it is tacky and the heat from the soup causes the chemicals in plastic to bleed into food. Will not return just based on this alone.

Both the Viet sandwich and coffee are good. I chose a medium spice level and it just hits right! The store inside kinda full of boxes and supplies and isn't that inviting for dine in. For a quick bite it's perfect.

This place is quite expensive. Service was okay. I wish they listed their prices on the paper menu or the menu board. I paid $20 for 2 sandwiches and expected change but I didn’t get any. I wasn’t even told the total for my order. I asked and the girl told me it was a even $20. If you willing to take a short trip to Manhattan, go to Banh Mi Saigon in Chinatown. The sandwiches are bigger and costs $3-$4 less. Expect to wait because they’re always a line to wait for your order.

**Ordered takeout during COVID pandemicFood/drink* Beef Short Ribs Banh Mi Sandwich (medium spice) - good*Fresh lemonade with lime - good

Great food! The pho to the tacos to the banh mi to the bubble teas are always fantastic and hit the spot every time!

Food was good but the customer service was horrible. The cashier discriminated against me by refusing to let my Indian wife use the bathroom without presenting a covid vaccine card but allowed 2 other Asian women use the bathroom without asking for a vaccine card.

I asked “are the ingredients all natural?” And the girl said yes. “Maybe with like tea or juice?” “Yea, we make it”. I’ve gotten bubble tea with herbal tea or juice in the past and that’s the only kind I drink. Then I asked if I could combine two flavors and she said no. Why? Because those flavors wouldn’t work together. So there’s no physical reason they can’t just put the two together, she just just wouldnt because that idea grossed her out. I’ve been a barista and the process is as simple as using two squirt bottles right next to each other in the same box into the same cup as opposed to one (think, mocha and Carmel). As they started pouring some fluorescent green junk into my cup I asked “can I read the ingredients on that bottle?”. Polysorbate 80, artificial colors and flavors and sweetener. “You literally lied to me” “I don’t know what natural means”….. “than why didn’t you say that or offer to let me read the ingredients in the first place?”

Food was bland, bitter, and inedible. I did like the coffee but was unable to eat any of the food :(
