Singularly awful. We ordered the Charcuterie board to start. It was at best passable but nothing special. All the meats tasted the same, salty - no one could even tell us what the meats were. Also, the toasted little breads were rock hard, like, breaking your bridgework hard. Not worth the $57 for sure. It felt like the staff was dropped into the place an hour before we arrived without any prior restaurant experience. The worst part of the evening was the entrees - I had the Filet Mignon ($70) and my friend the cowboy steak ($94) with French Fries and Steamed/sauteed vegetables. We waited 50 minutes for it. We joked to each-other that they must still be raising the cow. The story of our experience there was frankly the best part of the evening. My Filet Mignon had absolutely no taste with the exception of freezer burn. It was inedible. My friend's Medium cowboy steak was well done not medium as ordered and the edges were charred. They took the entrees off the bill but kept the charcuterie and the gratuity . A place that wanted your business would have not have charged us at all. Avoid this place. I recommend the deli Essen nearby to have some edible food. Don't waste your money at Bakar

Food and service were absolutely outstanding. I will be dreaming about the charcuterie board and beef carpaccio, and the filet mignon was melt in your mouth. Will be back soon and cannot recommend enough.

I walked into Bakar without expectations. I only knew it was a new steakhouse from the same family of Reserve Cut and Prime Cut.Zaung greeted us warmly and was very kind and helpful throughout, truly amplifying our experience.I am surprised it was not full when I walked in - after trying the incredible food, my surprise was even more profound as how could a restaurant this amazing not be packed?! Granted, it's a Wednesday night, but still this location needs more patronage to ensure this delicious food sticks around!Service was incredible - we could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, attentive staff. 10/10 service.Drinks were very solid for a kosher restaurant outside of Manhatten. We ordered the Vico Rico and Raging Bull, both 8/10. Gorgeous presentation and very well crafted. Our first appetizer was the Buffalo Chicken - at least a 9/10. Incredibly flavorful and the guacomole was a perfect complement. The pulled beef tacos were also amazing. Flavorful and the accompanying sauces were perfect. 8/10.We shared the filet mignon and it was equally impressive. The aged steak was tender, tasty, and perfect in all the right ways. 10/10.Overall 9/10 experience, since Google allow half points I'm compelled to round up to 5/5.. Which I am sure they will exceed on my next visit, hopefully soon.

Good is scrumptious and huge portions, great wine selection and soothing atmosphere. Also great wait staff.

Very good food. Takes long for the food to be served. Very nice wait staff and the boss is always there and hands on.

What a disaster... I have eaten in many many restaurants and have blogged many of my advenrures on my insta account #AbiteOUTwithJACK but never have I had such a disaster of a meal.We were a table of 10, and the ONLY 10 people in the resturant. Our drinks were Spicey and the best part of the meal... They took 20+ minutes to arrive. Our salads and apps were average. My medium rare steak came as well, I sent it back.. They re served me the same steak... I sent it back again.... Thier third attempt at a Medium Rare came as Black and Blue. You'd think we'd get an apology and a comped meal...The well done French fries, average...All 3 desserts were less than average. If you're dying, get an iv at Coney Island hospital before you go here. Disaster. For the money, fly to Vegas. Expensive, zero value !

Food was very good, service was amazing. Way overpriced.

Had a night out with my wife here - excellent food and service, top notch. Will definitely be back.

too bright and noisy, no ambiance, fish was nicely cooked but side dishes were boring and not crispy.
