It’s good food. Well-prepared. But the portions are smaller than one would expect and the prices are $3-4 per entree more than the other Chinese restaurants in the area.
Ordered 4 different items and threw all four into the garbage after one bite. About as authenticly Szechuan as mountain dew is authenticly mountain dew. Aside from being not remotely authentic, the food was vile. Wouldn't feed it to my dogs.
Exceptionally good Chinese food, order speed and quality for your money. The restaurant is perfectly managed and maintained, with everything being organized, taken out and delivered in little time. The food itself is always very savory, in large quantities and honestly better quality than a lot of Chinese places around it. 10/10!
Incredible Szechuan food in the slope, so grateful this spot is here, since moving to the neighborhood from the village. Probably ordered from here 20-30 times, nothing beats it for spicy Chinese in the slope. Don’t miss the “Sichuan spicy dry chicken with hot pepper”, the spicy wontons and the cold dish cucumber.
Very dissapointing! Much more expensive than most local take out Chinese, but not any better in quality
Solid mapo tofu and scallion pancake. There is a bathtub for customers and it's relatively clean. The servers and owners were doing their own thing, no problem still very nice folks.
This place checks all of the boxes for a decent Chinese American and Szechuan takeout option. Didn't find anything yet that I'd rave over (their General Tso is middling compared to what I've had elsewhere). Had a Szechuan Chicken dish that was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Still worth getting if you're in the mood for this type of cuisine.
their mapo tofu is truly authentic, soo yummy and addicting and you can choose the level of spice you want :)
Confused as to why people think this place is authentic and rated so high…I ordered half a peking duck and the portion was super small, definitely not half a duck as claimed, and also does not include “pancakes” as claimed. It’s ok if you want to give small portion but just label it correctly - I was having a guest so it was definitely annoying and embarrassing to have the unpleasant surprise. The seasoning was mehh, the wraps were tortillas, not the authentic thin wraps that typically come with true peking duck. Kung Pao chicken was super mediocre. On top of that, I ordered through uber eats and the food was 35 minutes late.Gave the restaurant 2 stars since it’s still ok food, but will not choose this place again
EDIT: Update Jan. 2022. I think they changed chefs because the last 5 or so orders I've had from them have been bad. We've tried both old favorites and some new items. I appreciate that they have been expanding the menu and certain things are still good (wontons, Chong Qing spicy chicken) but overall I can't recommend them. Can’t believe they don’t have more reviews!! Skip Han dynasty and order from here. We’ve been ordering authentic tofu once a month for 4 years. The Chong Qing spicy chicken is our favorite, but we also enjoy the mapo tofu, the spicy wontons, hot and sour sweet potato noodles, various vegetables (including snow pea leaves!), cold noodles, shredded potato and more. They also have ultra authentic fish dishes. The beef soup is tasty and well packaged for transit. Don’t sleep on this place!! Best Chinese takeout in NYC.That said, skip the dishes like lo mein, general tsos etc. And the home style tofu isn’t good.
