Ive been eating at this place off and on for years. Since they were at their other location between East 21st and East 22nd. And they had the best chicken Parmesan hero I had ever tasted. But not anymore. I just ordered 2 Parmesan heroes from them. Parmesan usually has mozzarella cheese. The sandwiches had almost no cheese at all on them. And the sauce was very bland and tasted old. . I can’t believe how much the quality of this place has gone down. What once was a great well-known place. Turned out to be a total disgrace. Never doing this place again.
Wonderful place. The food selection is large, and everything is delicious.
The carciofoli were delicious-brought back memories of my nonna's cooking. Pizzaiolo was also delicious.
The service and food was very good. The prices are high, especially on the weekly specials. We asked for seltzer instead of water and was charged $10 for the pitcher. We asked for a refill of seltzer and was charged another $10. $20 for seltzer is a crime. We were very upset by this. This wasn’t bottled sparkling water, this was simply seltzer ,which we asked for instead of water. I definitely would not come back. I put value very high on my list. The portions were under average for the prices. It’s a shame because the food was good and we liked the location, although parking is a nightmare. Plenty of other Italian restaurants to choose without feeling ripped off. The service was good.
All the times I have eaten at Anthony’s I have never had a bad meal. The food and service is always outstanding.
Mothers Day 2022 it was nice however I wish I was given the opportunity to sit inside the restaurant rather than having to look at the outside sidewalk and cars passing by. A little too cold for me those table settings. Felt like outdoor dining which isn’t up my ally.
The location is good, the decoration they mostly inherited from the previous owner is really nice. The choice of wine is poor. I can assume they made is simple only to Mother's day, but why? Why there are only 4 choices for white wine? The food is not on a healthy side at all. And not that tasty, that could be in Italian restaurant.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the noise level was low. We were able to talk.
Wonderful meal! I recently stopped in at Anthony's Place for the first time on a rainy night, looking for some comfort food. The stuffed artichoke appetizer was absolutely delicious as was the rest of my dinner, further enhanced by the friendly service and warmth of the fireplace. It's an equally great place for a get-together with friends, family or a romantic date. I'll be back, for sure!
We went for Easter dinner service was excellent. They didn’t rush us and food was outstanding
