Customer service is always good at this location on Nevins . The best ice cream in the NYC . Extremely creamy ,not too sweet and a lot of flavors to choose from.
I walked here about half an hour before it closed and ordered a hot chocolate with two flavors of the super-vanilla and the Gowanus one, each of which had topical names. The hot chocolate was very good, although I don't think that the ice creams I chose necessarily tasted well. Still, walking around Brooklyn on a cold winter night with hot chocolate was pretty great.
I've attended Rooftop Readings here twice to support my fellow authors and catch up with folks I had not seen since before the pandemic. Host Randee Dawn showcases an eclectic mix of engaging readers monthly The space is inviting, the staff is friendly, and the ice cream flavors are divine! I recommend the mango and marshmallow flavors!
The ice cream at Ample Hills is too sweet for my taste. Ice cream plus brownie or toffee bits plus sauce, etc. its all too much. It is also not the same place it use to be after the original owners left and there is a new operation.
There are a variety of flavors that can please everyone’s tastes, and pints to bring home as well as the ability to order cups, I could not recommend an ice cream place better than this.
Nice off the beaten path in park slope . Ice cream is good and the staff are young and hip.
Ice cream is ok but tooo much sweetness. Also they charge for every little addition to the ice cream. I habe purchase just two to pay $20. Is a little $$$$
Passed by this place on my way to my hotel. Had to try it. Boom!!! The ice cream is fantastic and worth it!!! I tried the cookies and cream with strawberries and cream!!! Loved it. Give it a shot if your in the neighborhood.
So excited to be able to come to Ample and eat ice cream inside. Staff were always helpful and nice. Place was clean and people maintained distance.
If you like your ice cream to be filled with other deserts and goodies, Ample hills is the shop for you.They have a large collection of ice cream options with wide ranging mix-ins, all at good prices.The texture is amazing and the sweetness is appropriate. They do not allow samples though. They also have pints to go as well as ice cream cakes.If the three flavors I had, ooey gooey butter cake was quite good but the other two, it came from gowanus (store specific flavor) and long meadows were not good. I felt the saltiness and the orange scented brownies in it came from gowanus were too subtle and the long meadow was just not enjoyable.
