The pastries are good. The website needs to be updated. It posts a lesser price than what is actual in store. My pet peeve is that they only take cash. Even though they have a credit card machine. You only find out it's cash only after you stand online and place your order. However, there is an ATM machine in premises, but be prepared to pay a $2.00 fee to use the machine. It would be nice if a sign was posted that they only take cash.Besides that, the staff was courteous and understanding.

I usually enjoy Allan's cake. This time I got a 10 inch cake in May. It tasted good but it was very dry. I called and told an employee about the cake- she apologized and said she would let the baker know so hopefully this was a 1 time thing.

I ordered the items a week prior from here when I randomly find this website and thought to give it a try for our upcoming corporate group meeting, Strangely the same day, I just received a text msg from them saying that they confirmed my order, nothing else; they didn't even send me the email confirmation or invoice, still thought that at least they sent something. but then after waiting for 5-6 days , I didn't get any more response from them and I thought to give them a call and the people on the other side were so rude, the first time I called, I being asked to call again in 1 hour bcoz they are having lunch and then I call them again they hung up the call thrice after I explained the matter to them and each time I spoke to different person. then finally I spoke to very rude lady who said that If my package is delayed then Its not there fault .Its on UPS who deliver the bakery for us. even I try to explain her that I paid for next day rush delivery for $55 , what's the point of paying extra if I am not getting my delivery on time. But she rudely respond that she can't do anything for that; I asked for a refund but they declined that either; I will never ever gonna order here again, don't even lose any chance to tell people about this crazy experience with them and will criticize them at each given point; do not expect any better from them, at least they can give my refund back to me. I didn't spend over $250 for going to waste; Order number was - 1623995119. Thank you!!

I placed an order for a cake recently. A lovely worker named Meagan took my order and she was so professional and nice. Although the cake was kind of dry my family and I still enjoyed it. We also got some currants and it was really tasty! We will be returning soon ???.

For some ridiculous reason, Allan’s bakery refuses to see hops bread online. In order to enjoy this delicious treat from back home,(Trinidad) you must come into the store and order. The reason? They claim that the bread will bread during transport. For someone who is bead ridden, this is a poor excuse. So, because someone is unable to walk to the bakery, they should be excluded from such a treat from back home????Such a disservice. Find a better way of transporting it.

Always the freshest and hottest bread and bakery products West Indian style...ready whenever you are. Worth the wait in the line at times, but the line moves quickly. I'm a weekly customer.

they are the best ? it's worth the detour, for your money you will taste the texture and a warm welcome that you would not get elsewhere

Flaky current rolls, tasty patties, soft bread, a large varieties of carribean pastries. This is my spot when I come to Brooklyn.

Hard to rate because the food was different for me. I highly recommend the cod and bake. Service was efficient for such a small place. The coconut bread was great. I'm definitely going back next time.

This is what comfort food feels...this place has been around since my youth and yet the quality of the bakery products have never changed. This is always my first stop when I hit NY. Best currant, coconut rolls, bread pudding, drops, buns hardo bread just to name a few
