The best curry spot in bk. Always excellent Customer service every time I come. Live in Jersey but this is my go-to spot for curry.
5 stars for veggie roti and the baras, 3 stars for the channa. It was too dry and I didn't get any pepper sauce even tho I asked for some. They didn't have any soy for the roti, hope I'll get to try it sometime
When you have a taste for some oxtails, rice and peas this is the place to go. The oxtails have absorbed the flavors and fall off the boneIt's also halal for those with that dietary concern. Most of the people who go here know what they want and are focused so it is a very calm atmosphere usually.
Used to come here all the time...was so happy to hear that they opened up again. Drove all the way here from NJ just to get home with the wrong order. We ordered 3 chicken roti and received veggie roti. I'm sure the person who received our chicken is just as upset..
I was super excited when this place reopened. However, I am very disappointed. As I placed a large order for my family. The children ate first, and I thought it was odd that after a few bites they did not want the potato. When I ate, I thought it was just me and asked another family member to taste, the food was spoiled. I went 10 minutes after they opened so the food must not have been fresh. We all was sick the next morning.
Definitely not the Ali’s we use to know the doubles tasted old and mushy as if they were frozen. Tam sauce was disgusting it was just bad all the way around! Don’t get me started on the Roti my advice don’t waste your time nor moneyI’m not a computer real Trini know good doubles the peas and wrap taste old and they don’t even grind the peas down. Don’t believe me try their food for yourself real islanders know fresh food
Nice roti skin, the way to get service is convoluted and slow. Unnecessary waiting lines that extend the waiting time. Staff is nice but not the fastest. The store is one of the cleanest restaurants I've seen in NY
After being closed for quite some time, Ali's Roti Shop on Fulton St. has re-opened last month. The food was a welcome friend to my taste buds. I ordered the Veggie Roti & the Boneless Chicken Roti. My mouth savored every bite. I am usually there on a weekly basis. For GREAT Halal food, please try Ali's Halal Roti Shoppe, they will not disappoint you.
I was excited to have Ali’s again since they’ve been gone so long, but after todays experience I may have to rethink. I understand being the only person working the front counter on a busy day, but there’s no reason for the cashier (with glasses) to be so rude. When I asked if she called my number she responded “a long time ago.” So why not call it again instead of seeing me standing there for TEN minutes waiting for it? And when I told her I was waiting for her to call it she walked away, no “have a nice day” or anything. Haven’t had my food yet but that interaction kinda made me lose my appetite. The food is solid, but don’t expect decent customer service.
Best Buss Up I’ve ever had, even better than Trini City if you ask me. I’m so glad they have reopened. The food is just as good. I usually get a boneless chicken and shrimp mix buss up. It’s delicious.
