I’ve been coming to this diner since the early 80’s, was my go to place during lunch time at Lehman and after leaving the clubs in the early 90’s!! It’s still my favorite diner!! Traveled the entire east coast on road trips…still by far the best!! Every town should have a Tremont East Diner!!!! And the owner’s..your doing an awesome job!! Love the balloons, the music..lol, and the awesome customer service!!! You’ve been my go to place at least once a week for decades!!!
Today on Mother’s Day was the worse ever. Waited for 20 mins to told yo go sit over there. Not handed no menus when we sat. waited another 20 mins I got up and got the menus myself. With a waitress walking back and forth right cross from us not paying us any mind. Even before that when walking in I wasn’t even greeted until I said something same waitress turn and asked for how many. And that was it never again.
Love their service very professional and friendly. I enjoyed my lunch it was beyond expected it was amazing I've never had such a humongous portion of Greek salad with grilled chicken but I do have to say that the coffee was even better.
The workers are so nice. The young gentleman who runs it is so nice. We go here often it is very close to our house.
I absolutely love this place, The staff is very friendly, The food is always good and fresh. Everyone works extremely hard to get you seated and take your order right away. I am so happy to have them around after so many years…
Good neighborhood diner. The kind you seem to remember going to as a child with your parents on a Sunday for breakfast or when mom/dad needed a break from cooking. The type of comfortable homey place you can sit right down and feel at ease in. Like putting on your favorite sweater or worn jeans that feel just right. Diners that made a neighborhood a place to call home. No surprises here- what your order is exactly what you get and it’ll be just fine. And, that’s the reason we go to our local diners anyway, isn’t it? Comfort food in a comfortable come as you are environment. Friendly staff and good service. The way it should be and the way it would have been had your parents gone there when they were younger and they’re parents before them. What you need on a lazy weekend morning or at the end of a hard worked week. You go here…and you’ll be glad you did. These are the places that make New York neighborhoods. And, most other cities in America. I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a pleasant experience. In keeping with Diner tradition you “get a lot of food for a good honest price with local ambience.” And, sometimes that’s exactly what we need to feel all is right with the world. I’ve usually gone for breakfast. On the weekend. Waitstaff come around four or five times to ask if you need a coffee refill and how everything is. If you’re in the area and your hungry for good filling food in a “ease back into your booth seat and take it all in” environment, then you won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed. Enjoy!
This diner is terrific! The waitress was wonderful! The food is delicious. The diner is clean. The staff is very friendly.
Great toasted bagel with a fried egg, ham and cheese. Had with 2 cups coffee, a small cup of ginger ale, and french fries/chips shared with other person I dined with. Excellent brunch, would have again especially with the bargain of the food.
My husband ordered 2 chicken Caesar’s salads they add the dressing without asking so it’s melted under the HOT CHICKEN they put on top! The salad is wilted I should have just order cooked lettuce and when I called the guy picked up and told me the dressing is already inside who does that without asking then tells me ok bye and hangs up. As a former chef common sense would tell you not to put hot food on top of lettuce then douse it with the dressing which sunk to the bottom so overall hot chicken and soggy lettuce is what I’m looking at in front of me right now!!! Garbage
Me and the hubby had the day off and decided to grab some breakfast. The service was great and no complains about the food.
