I would have to say I was looking forward to eating here and the whole atmosphere of the place was beautiful. However, the music was very loud to the point no one could hear each other and it was hard for everyone to talk. Also, the place was completely full and the staff could not maintain there tables. I believe it was due to being short staffed, if so they should’ve not taken anymore customers until they are able to maintain the orders. I waited over an hour and half for my food and I got it the same time as another table who came 30mins before my table. All of our food at my party did not come all at once, instead it came one at a time between my table and 2 other tables. Which is not how you serve tables. The food was very good, but the customer service needs to be improved upon. I can tell this restaurant is not use to fast pace work and I believe they need to hire more people. Not only was my table complaining about the lateness on their food so was everyone else to all of the waitstaff. Also, customers would see the manager just walking around doing nothing instead of talking to the customers, seeing if they need anything and if he can help. Instead he was just seating more and more people when you can clearly see the staff can not handle it. My table asked 3 different workers where is our food. When you go out to eat you expect your food to be ready no more than 40mins, but over an hour and a half I would have to say is ridiculous. Overall, this place has potential to be great they just need more help.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEYWed Night 9:00 PM- Place was not busy at all Maybe 15 PEOPLE THERE.FIRST OF ALL, Appetizer was ok BUT 45 mints to come to the table. (UNACCEPTABLE) & 1 HOUR AND 15 mints for the FOOD to COME ( Are you SERIOUS?)Weekend in Boca Chica ( THE FISH) not SALT not FLAVOR and OVERCOOKED. Waste my time and money for this. Whoever cooked that had NEVER EAT Fried Fish in Boca Chica.GRATITUDE- I am good TIPPER BUT if I don’t even like the SERVICE & FOOD WAS NOT GOOD. WHYYY you added 18% to the BILL for 2 PEOPLE. When most FANCY PLACE IT’S OPTIONAL.
Had an amazing experience here! The ambiance is nice, the drinks are great and the food is delicious! Enjoyed everything on the platter! The lobster fongo was something I've never seen anywhere else! The red snapper stuffed with shrimp mofongo ???!(Dining inside is a little loud but I didn't mind. Bring cash if you don't want to be charged the extra credit card fee.)
Excellent food. I love dining out and this restaurant did not disappoint. Definitely will be coming back and spreading the word. For my dish I enjoyed the Weekend in Bocachica and it was amazing! I honestly dislike ordering fried fish in the states because it just never tastes like the fried fish you enjoy by the beach in Dominican Republic but this, this was really close to it. Deliciously paired with the shrimp mofongo, it’s a dish you can definitely see yourself craving.Other dishes i tried were the sample platter and the Lobsterfongo - both really great as well.Pictured here: Weekend in Bocachica
This is place took one hour to bring me my Tuscan salad.it was super loud in the restaurant the waitress couldn’t hear me neither could I hear them.I have never eaten in a red and it would take them one full hour to prepare my food. They were disorganized they would bring the food not all at once but mine first my friends after 10 minutes my sisters a little later. That was a disaster. Also the neighborhood seemed ghetto’
The grilled octopus is a must here. The garlic shrimp mofongo is to die for. I must have had it 5 times already. I usually order from uber eats but they were so good I had to try the dine in service. Great service and I ordered the Snapper entree. Also amazing!
Great food, great service, great drinks great atmosphere definitely coming back LOVED IT
Travesías was a great choice for my mom's birthday. The service, the food, the drinks and music were all top-notch.We were given the option of sitting outside or inside. We choose to sit inside. The music was very loud but it was good music so we did not mind. A waitress came by and told us about the QR code menu and gave us water. Another waiter came over and took our order. The employees were very kind and inviting. All in a great mood. The food came quick and all was very good. We ordered two pina coladas, yaniquque con guacamole (delicious), the boca chica fish (very good and well seasoned) and the burger (it had that barbecue taste and the fries were crispy, perfection). The kind waiter also invited us to a passion fruit (chinola, parcha) tres leches cake, it was also delicious. I would love to come back. Wishing Travesías all of the best!
My daughter took me there to celebrate my birthday. The food and drinks were great! The wait staff were so pleasant and ensured we had a good experience and I had a great birthday!
The food presentations were excellent and tasty...however the prices are revaling Manhattan's Midtown restaurants...this place is in the Throggsneck section of the Bronx on East Tremont...go figure...
