My favorite bar. Neighborhood bar. I live in the city but i come to this neighborhood for my son’s horseback riding every week. Food is amazing, everyone is super friendly and pleasant. My favorite is French onion dumpling. My kids love their burgers and French toast. Their drinks are yummy too. They have many games to play so my kids are entertained for hours while grown ups get drinks. I will continue coming here .
The ambience is inviting. It is like a sport bar. The server was very friendly and attentive.
Went here after a nice long hike in Van Cortlandt Park and enjoyed a delicious lunch with exceptional service! Good portions and very tasty. They had happy hour too with free refills! Lit!
Although we don’t live in the area anymore, T&H was a great place to go and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. We were very excited to have a localBar open up and I remember the limited menu when they first opened. They since expanded the kitchen and menu with All the food being great. Anthony was always friendly and a great atmosphere for a drink or a meal. Definitely miss this bar!
The bar has amazing service! Anthony was extremely friendly and attentive. I had pork tacos, they came out quick and tasted great. The drinks also were amazing. I will definitely be back.
One of those spots that I grew up always knowing it was there and finally decided to stop in. The French onion dumplings were so good. Never expected them to be smothered with cheese the way they were and I was not upset by it. The burger was done just as I had asked which was nice. Overall the vibes were good and they do trivia on Thursdays.
I have always wanted to try Tortoise and the Hare (I live very close) and after a few years of wondering I ventured in. We usually travel to NJ, CT or even White Plains for really good pub food. I was lucky enough to get a parking space close by OR I WOULD NOT of ventured in. That would have been a mistake! the menu was really interesting BUT the food and service was amazing and the atmosphere was great to hang out or just watch a game. The Onion Soup Dumplings were sublime and so unique. The shrimp tacos were excellent and Shepards Pie Potato Skins were so amazing. If I had to park a mile away I would do it! Truth is you will find parking and worth a trip its that good.
Pricey, but worth it! Their two veggie options (a masala burger, and a beyond burger with beets) are fantastic! Waiter was very friendly and attentive. I order takeout from them all the time too lol, it's addictive
The food here is really good, so is the vibe.The Bodega sandwich is just so delicious it's ridiculous. Their burgers are REALLY good and so is the mac and cheese, try it with Buffalo chicken, Jesus it's goodThey also sell carrot cake from Lloyd's which is AMAZING!! I really like this place, great neighborhood pub with banging food.
There's really nothing else to say but this place is fantastic. It's like if you had a friend around the corner that always has your drink of choice in stock and is always willing to cook you a great meal. Weeknights, weekends, doesn't matter. This an absolute gem of a place and should be visited often. 10/10 would recommend, but Google only goes up to 5 stars,
