We stopped by Tino's on our way home from visiting a friend in the Bronx. This is a deli and we wondered if you could eat in and the answer is yes. There are tables to bring you deli order to for you yummy red sauce mangia. It is a counter service place. You can see all the prepared foods you can order in the deli case. We ordered our go to for old school Italian. She had the eggplant parm and I had the chicken parm. Both were different from what we expected by very good. There was very little breading on the chicken and eggplant if any. (Couldn't really tell). The chicken was bite size pieces of chicken breast. Both dishes were smothered in the delicious red sauce made by the owners wife. They were light on the cheese and I did miss that, but we got these huge portions that we ate only half of with the nice brooklyn style bread for dipping. We took the rest home and had enough for another meal. Lots of interesting meats, prepared dishes, and imported provisions.
Love this place i usually visit for the sandwiches and coffee but I have bought sausages and peppers pasta
I grew up around here and I have been coming here since I was a kid. Consistency is huge in my book, and this place is no longer what it used to be. Never once in my life have I eaten a chicken cutlet hero (for $15) and felt like I can eat another half a sandwich afterwards. I usually can't finish the sandwich. The one consistent thing these last few times has been the sloppiness of the sandwich. And the black pepper & salt being the only things in breadcrumbs on the cutlet, it's like eating a piece of American fried chicken for the price of an Italian one. No Neapolitan does this! I hope this place shapes up soon
Best Italian deli, amazing sandwiches plus I love their fresh mozz, marinara sauce and iced cappucinos!cappuccinos! A Must-Stop on Arthur Ave
This Delicatessen was a treat to come experience.Very comfortable, cosy and felt like your going into one of them Authentic Regional Italian Cuisine shops. The food is all fresh and they offer a verity of different items for eating in shop or for taking back home to make with your favorite dish.Definitely stop by and experience it yourself if your in the local area.
Great traditional store with friendly staff, and an extensive selection of Italian products. Their mozzarella (made fresh daily) is delicious, and it's a great place for gelato too.
I have been coming to this deli for years, and the atmosphere is so welcoming and cozy. The food is high quality and delicious! ? You can find an array of imported pastas, sauces, olives, cheese, cookies and other great treasures. If you come during lunch time, you will most likely have to wait in line- because this deli is THAT popular. But if you come during breakfast time- or late afternoon, you’ll be able to enjoy your meal quietly. The owner, Giancarlo, is an absolute sweetheart- and his wife is just as friendly. ?The cooks and staff are all very personable and will do their best to accommodate your requests. The woman at the cash register doesn’t seem too happy with her job- and it’s best to double check the total on your order- I have been overcharged more than once.Other than that, the service is fantastic- and I highly recommend anyone visiting Arthur Avenue to come check out the shine of this wonderful establishment. ✨
This is more than a deli it’s a place to go get lunch or dinner, prepared food and authentic Italian food. I’ve been coming here for about five years whenever I work in the area. One day I found a place nearby that wasn’t too bad because it was late at night and Tino’s was closed but I don’t think I have ever been working in the area needed to get something to eat and said to myself no, let me go somewhere other than Tino’s. The chicken cutlet Parmesan melts in your mouth. I really have no description that can accurately portray how delicious it is. Sometimes I’m there by myself and sometimes I go with five or six guys from work, and for the people who don’t go there often or have never had it before it is cathartic. I frequently go there and take food home like their sauce and containers of lasagna etc. They also have good dry pasta that goes great with their sauce.
