Went to Karaoke on a Wednesday night, small crowd was fun, ordered the Alcapurrias, they were delicious.

Food was delicious, and fresh. I had the pork chops (3 served). Service was amazing. The bartender Cita was very attentive, and professional, very courteous. I go back without any hesitation. Drinks were refreshing.

Nice casual spot. Not much on ambiance, but the food is great. The bar is well stocked, and the drinks are very good. We will definitely be going back.

Owner was so sweet and the food was amazing. I'll travel to the Bronx again for their food.

Maribel goes above and beyond for her customers. She is a true business woman who knows what it means to treat the customer with respect ad courtesy. She makes you feel welcomed as she receives you with opened arms into her establishment. Wonderful human being & the food is delish!!!

Staff was pleasant, food was ok, we had to wait a long time before we could eat. No place to write home to momma about!

I must say especially during this time of Covid that it's been increasingly hard to find good, quality establishments that still take time to care for their guests and provide personal service. The South of France is one of those places. The place is small, cozy and has a bar area along with a separate seating/dining area. It felt classy with mirrors everywhere and real roses at each table. Currently the menu is hand written, ( I was told this will be upgraded to a standard printed menu soon) but this wasn't an issue for us. The beef empanadas were delightful. Seasoned well and fried perfectly and piping hot. Our main course took a little while to arrive as the patriarch explained she was personally making our orders from scratch. This was genuinely nice and we filled the interim with great Pina coladas and cold beer. Once the food arrived it was hands down some of the best Spanish food I've eaten in a long time. Reminding me of the table at my grandmother's home. Beans fresh and seasoned with cilantro and Adobo. Arroz con Gandules tasted so fresh and cooked perfectly along with the white rice. Fried plantains with fresh garlic and salt. The Chicharron de Pollo was so good..boneless pieces of chicken breast fried and seasoned perfectly...not a drop of grease anywhere and so moist and juicy.Presentation...A+, Food...A+, Personal service and attention...A+. This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots to enjoy a lovely Spanish dinner in the bronx...Bronx... and probably in the city.

Love this place good food live music.

Love this spot as this restaurant has been around for many years here in the Bronx and is an official landmark in the borough. Maribel is the owner is such a great and caring person and always accommodating, great bartenders, food and service. Karaoke on Wednesday and Saturday night.
