I went to get food before work for lunch. They’re extremely slow always. I get to work opened my food my curry chicken had hair wrapped on it. I called immediately and let them know. I leave work after I clocked in to return this food. I walk in no apology or nothing she just gave me my refund and still no apology.I said ok let me get salt fish and dumplings. The woman proceeded to charge me full price for another meal. I said I came all the way back from work with this food . And you going to charge me full price for a fish and dumplings.That’s not customer service. I was really angry of the service I was rendered after having hair in my food. They lost a loyal customer.
If you never tried the Fried Chicken you are missing out. Has to be the best I've had in years. My favorite spot for fried Sprat, fried whiting and dumpling. I don't like my fish too big and meaty. Their food hits the spot every time.
The dumpling cove is one of The best Jamaican food restaurant in the Bronx, they are open late and if you come early enough you’ll have a wide selection to order from. The later it is of course the selections are limited. Staff is always friendly and service is fast.Sometimes too fast, there has been a few times they would forget the extra plantains that I order and would get home & notice then. In spite of that, it’s always clean and the food is good!
Great place for Jamaican fry dumplings ?...flaky on the outside and fluffy inside, the saltfish is good too
Ordered the Curry Chicken for pickup but once I got there they tell me they ran out. I asked if they had jerk chicken, no ran out. I settled for the brown stew chicken because by this time i was hungry and didnt feel like driving around for food. Ordered a small which looks more like a mini plate. Food was sweet(not what brown stew suppose to taste like) and got nothing but bones and gravy. Very disappointed. Waste of time and money. Never again.
Wow the wait! Lord Jesus! I mean the food is great but not to wait for simple rice & peas. The staff was not as friendly as expected. Owner needs more industrial psychology, as employees attitudes discouraged a 2nd visit. Is All about customer service. Smile Ladies+
Ordered the whiting through Uber eats and got the boneless ones, like the ones at the fish markets, not their usual and tasted different. I called and asked why their whiting looks like that. The lady said they ran out of their regular whiting and are using filets. I asked for a refund because if you as an establishment specializes in something, if you change it then customers should be notified. She hung up the phone. Dumpling shop taste better anyways.
I love it here. I treat myself on Sunday mornings. They are organized, professional and somewhat friendly. I have no complaints. Food is always yummy. My favorite is simply the fried whitening fish with plantains and of course the amazing dumplings! Writing this makes me want to go pick some up lol. Support your local business.

I went in to get a fish meal and a medium curry goat and ended up with this bone and two pieces of goat. If you had no more curry goat, just say so. Will not patronize this business again.
