Was just going to stop in and apparently even though the lights were on and the door was wide open with music playing they were closed. And instead of just saying hey were closed, the guy in the door with cigarettes hanging from his mouth starts acting like he wants to fight. So much for convincing my out of town fiancé that the Bronx isn’t really that bad.

First time visit to Yankee stadium. Stan's did not disappoint. Classic dive bar feel with the quintessential New York flair!

I never thought I would see the day after over 10 years of patronizing Stan's. They denied my entry and required papers to enter. Absolutely pathetic. Fight back against this inanity.
I love Stan's, much better than some of the surrounding area bars that can seem like frat house parties. Not over priced and in the summer all the doors and windows are open to make it an open airy experience
Cool place, food was good, especially the wings. Super busy on game days. Music is way too loud though. You can barely speak to the person across the table from you.
