I always order here and the food is always good. I love the stew peas and the jerk chicken with oxtail gravy. I can’t understand the breakfast issues people talk about because I work at a place and everyone loves the ackee and saltfish and dumplings. Never ever have I had a mediocre portion. This is not real Jamaican food. What a disappointment. Jerk chicken tasted like baked chicken with BBQ sauce. No jerk flavor whatsoever. The worst jerk chicken I've had ever. Stew chicken tasted like BBQ sauce and rice and peas was overcooked and lacked flavor. If you're looking for Jamaican food, this ain't it.

I’ve purchased breakfast from here previously and was disappointed with the portion. I ordered callaloo and sailfish and received two tablespoons full with 3 dumpling for almost 9 dollars. This time I decided to try the lunch. I ordered brown stew chicken that wasn’t brown. It was red and sweet. I had to call them and ask if it was barbecue chicken. The chicken soup was very watery and barely had any food. The food is also very oily. I won’t be back. They might be Jamaican but the food isn’t authentic
While walking my puppy, I came across Ranch Jamaican. I guess I should have known better but being hungry, I picked up Lizzie and went inside. They were nice enough to let me order, pay and ask me to wait outside for my order. Anyway, the food was delicious. Next time, no dog. Thanks Ranch.
Food literally arrived all sloppy & disheveled…. the Jerk chicken was so dry plus they ran out of Jerk sauce & didn’t even bother to call to let us know ….Then the macaroni & cheese was also dry && looked like somebody took a scoop out with their bare hand…This large meal wasn’t even close to Presentable honestly….Atleast the rice isn’t bad….

I am very happy to see this business on castle hill. This area in the Bronx has been dominated by lechoneras. Finally a Jamaican restaurant. The young lady that served the food was pretty nice. I’m certain the food tastes good. Much success.
The food is so good here. I've been looking for a good restaurant near my home and this is it. The price ain't to bad either. My favorite is the curry chicken
My husband has experienced a very rude lady twice at this point and turned around and walked out without ordering anything today. I would be surprised they stay in business if they keep treating their customers this way. Food may be good but no one wants a side of attitude with their oxtail.
