I had order a Waffle & I thought they made it fresh but no I saw the man took it out of the freezer I was telling my man I don't want it nomore so we had to wait for 15 mins just he could come to our table and mind it wasn't busy they just had some orders to go. I'm a waitress myself and I know when something is fresh or old. So w.e he comes to our table with our food and as soon as I touch the waffle is was warm from 1 side the other one was cold so I was mad & mind I'm usually very understanding with the workers but for them to give me a cold waffle was very disappointed.
This experience reminded me of why I dislike diners and never eating at one again. This is my third awful diner experience. (3 different diners). It’s the last time I step foot here. It was empty when I walked in, which looking back, has always been the case. I ordered the veggie burger, strawberry shortcake, iced coffee and lemonade juice. The iced coffee was awful, they didn’t offer liquid or flavored syrup for iced coffee. Could not finish it! The veggie burger could have been better, it didn’t taste that great. The lettuce was like rubber, super dry. The French fries were ok. Since the iced coffee was less than ideal in flavor, I ordered lemonade juice which the waitress said was “fresh lemonade” & it was not fresh, it tasted like shampoo and I told her a bit of sugar however upon tasting it, I was overwhelmed with the sugar. Lastly I ordered the strawberry shortcake which wasn’t fresh at all, looked dry and smelled awful. I didn’t even try it. Not to mention it was overpriced for a diner. Last time I ever eat at a diner again. Seriously!
So so so so so so yummy! Great place to get a late might drink and great bite in Pelham ???
mmmmm I love the food here and sooo reasonable.I come all the way here from the UK with my friend. We stay in Queens regularly on vacation from the UK and take the subway here 3 x weekly just for our meals.
My family have been huge supporters and constant buyers to this diner for years. Time after time we would realize the prices would never match what they are suppose to be and when I ask for a receipt I was never given one. We will no longer be coming back.
I had the chicken cedar salad which was disgusting. The chicken was hard and cold. My partner had a bacon cheeseburger with soggy bread. Never going back
Great service. Great food. Stay away from the mozzarella sticks. They're horrible. Waiters are very respectful, kind, and polite. Great place, and it's not a gay diner. The name just so happens to be "rainbow" diner. Of course they are gay friendly. They don't discriminate, but it's not a gay diner. The name fools a lot of people.
I ordered eggs and bacon with a side of white toast... Everything was ok. Where else can you go at 3am
God bless the woman that works the graveyard shift but the father mother and son need to leave because the dad is gross and the mom cant get orders right and the son thinks he knows everything. It's expensive for the quality of food they serve but at 2am who cares. The ribeye steak sucks very poor quality burgers r ok at best but like i said at 2am its all good but i refuse to go in that nasty place in the day time when the whole family is there it makes me want to barf right now. I wish 6 brothers was still around they were 10 times better than rainbow
Good diner food, always lots of options, kind service, and we got our food quickly. It's a nice, casual lunch and dinner option.
