I was hungry and did not know what to eat and I came across the meal, The Malcajete (Salted Beef, Chicken, Mexican Sausage with scallions and cactus pods). The vegetables were sautéed perfectly and so so tasty and my favorite part of the meal with the cheese. The chicken came in 2nd it was juicy. The sausage was average and I was not a fan of the salted beef at all. For the price I probably would have just gotten a churrasco instead.
Their food is fine. The meat tends to be dry and they could season it better, but it is fine. My issue is with their service and inconstant prices. We can for dinner one night and waited OVER AN HOUR for 5 tacos. I went in today and they charged me $13 for 3 tacos - $4 more than what it is listed on their menu. Their food just isn't good enough to have such poor service and be ripped off.
Honestly one of the best, authentic, Mexican eateries I've been to in the state of New York. I highly recommend trying their traditional chicken tacos.
It has been a great experience to come to Queen of Tacos. I used to live nearby and moved to CT, I still come here to drink a bear and eat. Everything is delicious and customer service on point. Love it
Out of town visitor: Food is great; service sucks. 1st time in my adult life that I’ve haven’t left a tip.
I didn't felt welcome.When I arrived at the Queen of tacos, I walked in and the guy in the front said "Hi" I told him my name and I was part of an eventHe told me to wait; he went to the back to speak with a young woman who was in back by the kitchen area after few seconds he came back and told me to go to her okay fine.She didn't greeted us! all she asked was what is my name if I had a ID and to sign the guest list. She said you free tacos I asked her what type and she said "Beef" and told us "Wait outside" that the guy will bring our food outside she didn't say "please or would you like to see the menu/drinks while we wait for the food" in another word she didn't sell us the restaurant menu.We said okay and headed out and it was not busy at all in fact; two ladies were sitting on the right hand side and a lady sitting at the bar meaning they were 2 tables available inside. We waited less than 10-15 minutes when the guy came outside, he said here are the tacos and a gift from the Company I went for (Not from Queen of Tacos). I took pictures of the restaurant"/Food it was warm when he give it to us the presentation of the food is Good but those hard shell tacos are flavorless and I had tasty Tacos before but these ones are not good. I had my family tasting it, my little one found it a little bit spicy in which is normal lol, my other son said the meat doesn't have flavor he only tastes the hard shell tortillas and the sauce that came with it. The other family member felt the same way about the tortillas and me too! They have to work on their customer service and on the food. I will not go back
Worse time ever when we got there we ask if we can sit outside , I believe the employees was to busy having lunch , cause they told us we can sit out we wait for almost 10 m and no body came out we decide to came inside , we ask for coffee which it take another 10 m , we order but the food was missing some ingredients we didn’t even bother to ask Cause the waitress just. Appears for the order and the check , I was trying to get her attention but I believe it was lunch time , when I get up to order something to go waitress didn’t Even look at me cause she wash munching. Her Luch and drinking water at the same time I was ordering ????. Food was ok service was horrible
