Best sushi I've had in ages! The owner Ben is so friendly and welcoming!

Tried this place multiple times. Always a terrible experience ordering on the phone. The lady yells at you, talks over you, and hangs up on you while you're talking. Have tried multiple dishes as well as the sushi and the food has always been mediocre. Definitely never ordering from here again.

Local spot I thought id try. I guess they felt I havent had bad sushi rolls in a while. So maybe 4 stars for delivering on that?

I used to eat there in the early 2000's. I was in NY from New England, and decided to give in to that long-awaited craving. I suppose I was expecting the same ambiance, service, etc, as before. They used to bring a hot cloth to each customer, to cleanse hands. The food used to be exceptional. There was no hot cloth, miso soup was just warm, and I was disappointed with the majority of our dinner. Dessert-tiramisu was frozen, and they offered to microwave it! Fried ice cream was still great. I will go back, but will definitely not order the usual, I used to order for years. It may also be the sushi chef, obviously it wasn't the same as before. I've craved food from there for years, so that added to my disappointment. But do not let my opinion discourage you. The restaurant has been there for years, and the staff is still very attentive. I simply had expectations not met. So go, enjoy, and you'll have your own opinion. As I said, I will try something different next time.

I haven't been back to palace of Japan since before the pandemic and I didn't realize how much I missed this local gem! The sushi is always super fresh and their yellow tail jalapeño appetizer is to die for!!I love their shrimp shumai and their spicy mayonnaise is just the right consistency the service is always very friendly and fast it is very clean and covid compliant they even have personalized bottles of hand sanitizer on each table I will definitely be coming back more often now that I know they are open !!!

Nice place to spend time with friends and family. The setting is dark so I wished they had light colored tables or more warm lighting. Otherwise, enjoyed the menu.

Very inferior Japanese food , low quality , we ve eaten Japanese food for many years in the city . Not authentic , fake . It’s typical of the restaurants in Riverdale , customers don’t know and don’t care .

Great, fresh and tasty food with excellent service.

Best Japanese restaurant in Riverdale.

Nice place. Will come again if in the neighborhood
