I ordered delivery and while the food tasted fine (nothing amazing, the omelette and home fries was good but the pancakes were really dry). The main problem was the service. I ordered delivery and the driver rudely asked for a tip, and got nasty and diseerspectful when I couldn’t give one even after explaining that I couldn’t afford a tip. He made rude comments and said he wouldnt be coming back.
My favorite place they know me by now I order blt to me the best. SWEET potatoes fries. Took over an hour to deliver a small meal. Everything came in plastic containers as oppose to their usual cardboard packaging, Which kept food fresh and presentation was better. All good items were soggy and cold. Also, no proper soaking of grease on our one fried order. Very disappointing- this place use to be great!
The restaurant is cozy and looks nice. The waitstaff was friendly. The food tasted like prepackaged freezer food. It's the same quality you would get at a local pizza or chicken takeout joint.
I really liked the atmosphere of this spot so my wife and I were hoping to like the food. Unfortunately everything we ordered looked and tasted like the frozen food you buy and cook from the supermarket. I ordered fish and chips and my wife ordered wings and mozzarella sticks. These are simple dishes that small restaurants usually do well with, often giving you a reason to come back because they did something interesting. Not at Novelty Eats, Here they were nothing special. The service was really nice. Unfortunately the food was just not worth eating.
Wanted to like..but sadly disappointed.Nothing special. All generic fast food tasting stuff. Onions rings..blah. mozzarella sticks.. Blah. I was excited about trying new wings from a new place...blah. wings were very dry and salty..thought they would be coated in sauce..nope. sauce on the side. much better food in that area. No need for me to try this place again.
They describe themselves as having the best burgers in the Bronx but I ordered their Turkey burger and it was just a frozen patty that was over cooked. Pretty presentation but definitely disappointing
Fresh food, variety of options from wraps burgers, shakes, tacos, and Vegan options!The owner Socrates showed awesome hospitality even as the owner. Didn't even know till we had conversation towards the end.Def get the cookies and cream milkshake. My fave.
Food is good but the staff need an improvement especially today July 18, 2021. The guy and the female worker in the front was not friendly at all, giving some customers attitude seem like they don't want to be at work type of attitude. I don't want to mention names of workers here but owner need to reexam their employees
Let me start by saying that the food is not amazing, a complete overcharge. The lady in the front is completely rude. I ordered four orders of burgers with fries and none of them had the fries. Clearly it was stated, and suddenly there was a miscommunication and there was nothing they could do? Na save your money, the diner down the block has better food and way better service.
