Delicious, authentic, homemade food.
My favorite Mexican food in all of NYC. And the fact that they are such amazing, inspiring people just makes me feel even better about eating here. Everything is delicious and fresh and flavorful and full of love.
These are some of the best tacos in NY and the best tacos I have ever had. The chorizo tacos with extra green sauce and crema are crazy good. Their guacamole is so good and super fresh. There kitchen is lined with tons of avocados. The place does accept cards and the owners/servers are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The owners did a ton of community outreach during the peak of COVID and gave away food and they support activism like BLM. As an Asian individual I only felt welcomed and love from them
it's a happy thing to know this place still exists. Although you can only do take out the food remains the same if not better. They are doing so much outreach to the community and helping feed the community it's actually mind-boggling this South Bronx community really needs the support and I'm so glad that la morada is doing that if you can support la morada you're supporting the whole community the food is delicious
The steak in the taco bowl was extra (~$5) but it wasn't worth the price, was salty and tough to chew. The taco was pretty crunchy though.Carnitas in the quesadillas were fine and veggies nachos were pretty good as well, both had mozzarella and was pretty melty I just wouldn't get the steak again.
A friend of mine was so excited ordering from them as an original Authentic Mexican food and we went to pick the food up. The lady was so generous kept adding more food for free while we were insisting on paying for the extras but she was super generous. We left the restaurant with a great vibe and a wonderful experience. Their original Mexican dishes are unmatched and we kept eating without stop until we finished the load of the food we bought. They are very good in their community and they donate lots of food. Super sweet people serving a great tasty food. I am totally hocked to that place from now on.
I don’t wanna give hate to this place as they are very nice establishment with amazing customer service everytime I go, but the food here is completely flavorless now and not what it was 2-4 years ago. My carnitas AND chicken was just flavorless. I’ve never had mexican food with no cilantro anywhere. Nachos with no cheese. Plain lettuce and tomato, instead of pico de Gallo. I couldn’t finish the burrito that’s how bad it was honestly. Huge disappointment but I know sometimes things have to come to an end.

I just found out on Tiempo that this small restaurant is doing BIG work to help people during this covid time. For that they deserve praise and support. Bless them! ?
Very reasonable priced and swift service. A great spot to grab a quick lunch!
