As a kid I lived on that block 5 up until 12 yrs old I remember me and my brother in the morning we would stop there to get a slice of pizza or a water ice before school my mom loved the garlic knots as a kid me and my brother helped out with making pizza boxes doing the trash wiping the tables down and chairs sweep moped filling the garlic cheese hot peppers containers every now and then they would teach us how to make pizza wow I can't believe this pizza shop is still out there I will and love to visit them again for pizza and to see the faces of those I haven't been here since 1994. god bless and may God be with the store and family and customers. ?
The older sales man was very sarcastic and ofensive in two occasions to me , once in person he shut me up while I was asking my order and the second on phone I ordered I full thin crust and a large pepsi and after waiting longer than 1 hour I got I Sicilian and a ginger ale. Very unprofessional dusgusting
The pizza was excellent and large. One slice should be enough since it is bigger than typical. For instance I ordered two slices (along with a large pie with extra cheese for the family) with chicken. The slice was large and the chicken topping was very generous. Other pizzerias that I have been to, the slices was smaller and the chicken topping were stingy. At John & Joe', I really enjoyed how the chicken toppings seemed to cover the whole slice. Yes!!! I only suggest that you make sure that you get everything your ordered because they forgot to include the marinara sauce when I went there. Other than this mistake, the pizza, chicken topping, and garlic knots were great. Enjoy!!!
If 0 stars was an option i would give that. They have horrible customer service. Called 3 times and all 3 times was kept on hold for more than 10 minutes. When the individual came on the line, i told him how long I was on hold for and this will make them lose customers. He seemed unconcerned and responded extremely obnoxiously telling me losing customers doesn't effect their business and hung up. This has always been my go to place but not anymore. Save yourself time and go somewhere else will not be ordering from them anymore.
Childhood favorite, I still make an effort to visit at least annually to get good food and good nostalgia. Especially when I get a window seat. Local gem for about 20 years.
As an Italian myself. I was very disappointed in there specialty pizza the "stuffed meat" it looked amazing and well prepared. But the inside did not taste good at all. It was like a dry ground beef if they can call it that. But the stuffed Spinach slice redeemed itself for the flavor and the amount of cheese. I would go back and retry something else but I still have a bad taste in my mouth.
As good as the pizza might be, the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST! We ordered and they took 2 hours to deliver the pizza, the worst part was then when we called them they were picking up and leaving us on hold without talking or explaining why it was delayed. The guy was extremely rude when he did speak!!!
Best pizza I’ve had! The guys are great super friendly, always treat my daughter nicely.
They use fake cheese and just cheap poor ingredients! Try Patsy’s or Angelos and you’ll see the difference. I was visiting a friend in the Bronx and tried this place and I was disgusted!
I found this spot by mistake what a gem good pizza and nice ceaser salad a lot of chicken nice atmosphere
