Bought breakfast for me and my girlfriend on memorial weekend, I really wanted to see how good the Jamaican restaurant are in the bronx. Ackee and saltfish was so salty, callaoo was alright, fry dumplings was the worst dumplings I've ever had in my life it was big and tough, obviously they had the oil too hot so the outside overcooked before the inside was. They only thing I enjoyed was the poriddge which was a combination of oats, plantain etc...
Decided to try this place out I ordered it from Uber eats and let me tell you the Mac and cheese is not even good no flavor at all cheese not melted yams are no good and the bbq wings not good either it’s like they just gave me all the leftover food from the fridge 38$ For this ??♂️ Look how hard the Mac and cheese is
I ordered the stew chicken with rice and peas plus 2 cod fish fritters. I get home and I don't have the fritters but 2 bread balls which I didn't order. The stew chicken and rice is good but I'm mad because I paid for 1 thing and got something else. I don't live near Westchester Ave so I'm taking a lost.
Goat curry and beans and rice and jerk chicken was on point . Will surely have it again.
My go to ?? spot. Always generous portions and the right amount of spices for me.

10/27/2021-If you are in the Bronx, if you are visiting New York and happen to be in the Parkchester Area, please make it your business to go and feast at the Golden Spoon Restaurant. Everyone goes crazy about Jamaican food and they should, we West Indian folks are serious about our food and it shows; however, I’m here to tell you about breakfast, so this isn’t a rice and peas/oxtail review, this is the mother of all things Porridge review. Most Jamaican restaurants sell porridge (plantains, peanuts) hot cereal breakfast but for me it’s the combination of texture, taste, freshness, density and not trying to hide this flavor in sugar. This porridge literally gives me life. You get a quart size for $7 you can easily feed three ppl with this, but it will be two for me, small single serving may be half that price. With the weather getting cooler, it’s good on your tummy and will definitely hold you to lunchtime. We paired ours with a salt fish fritter. This was a treat since we relocated and are just visiting family. My only complaint is customer service goes a long way, put napkins in the bag and when the customer comes back to get some don’t be stingy listen go get that!!!
The food is real good the only complaint I have is one-time the jerk chicken had way too much jerk Source on it
I bought oxtails the other day the oxtails has no sweetness like traditional oxtails, and it was tough!!! And the Lightskin slim lady sneezed twice without covering her mouth and nose!!! Never again!
