I ordered jerk chicken, candied yams, and collard greens. I was very disappointed when I received the jerk chicken. I paid nearly $20 for this meal and all I received was a bunch of chicken chunks. When you request chicken, you expect to receive a thigh, a leg, or even a wing. Even the chicken spot will never give you these chicken chocks when you order chicken. This is not even jerk chicken. I don’t even know if it’s a real chicken. I had to request a refund. I was very disappointed with this place as they used to have better quality in the past which is why I gave them two stars. The food was decent but it was not up to par. No Jamaican place would give you chicken chunks when you order jerk chicken. That is not something I ever expect to get from a Jamaican store. They need to fix this issue or they’re going to have a lot of disappointed customers. I feel so bad for writing this review, but it’s the truth. Maybe I got unlucky, but either way they need to fix this.

So Saturday 7/8 I treated the family to dinner, really wish I cooked instead. We ordered oxtails, peas & rice ( hardest rice I have ever tasted) with collard greens ( tasteless shredded tough greens ) 3 orders of sweet plantains , 2 orders mashed potatoes (1 with cheese), party wings jerk flavor( 5. Wingetts $15) , oxtail roti with potatoes,( potatoes tasted like curry goat) curry goat dinner with white rice and cabbage and 1 order of fried shrimp. Here’s when I should have ran to the supermarket or pizza shop!!! After 1/2 hour I was told they were out of sweet plantains so I substituted for sweet potatoes ( not sweet or flavorful at all) 20 minutes after that I was told there was no mashed potatoes so again I substituted this time for peas and rice with oxtail gravy! 30 more minutes later the food was packed for me to take home. 2nd biggest mistake that day ( did not check my order) we spent well actually threw away over $100 for us to take another cab because the substitutions were not added ( due to the inconvenience we were given (2) 9 oz cups of lemon ade. If you enjoy food made with love like I do and want to treat yourself/ family DO NOT GO TO FLAVAS ( the grade was C posted on the restaurant window) at 3114 3rd avenue in the Bronx
I was there yesterday with my sister! They are nice people/ kindly! It feels that we in Jamaica! Their food and drinks everything! It so delicious! I love their service! I'm coming back again! Thanks to the staff/ owner! I appreciate it! ??❤️??
Drinks were not great. Soda/tonic mixers in drinks were flat. Bartender said she could not make a dirty martini because she did not have bitters?? Since when do dirty martinis have bitters??Food was just ok. Service was slow for both. Too many people asked if we wanted hookah.
Chic Caribbean restaurant serving one of the best oxtails I’ve ever tasted. Their hours of operations 24/7. The decor in this place is modern and very nicely decorated from the ceiling to the floors. The Rasta Pasta (Marley Pasta) is very tasty with Caribbean zest and flavor. Nice friendly staff. Decent prices. Parking is tight and limited.
The cocktails were very nice. We ordered shots and they came in plastic cups which was disappointing. The dance floor was not spacious because there were tables in the center. The atmosphere was very nice, I’d come again. Spent a lovely night here.
A great place , everything is great ! Ive been there a few times for different events or just to simply have lunch or dinner, the drinks can be stronger but ! Its still good! A black owned business so definitely have to show support customer service and etc is great also. And reasonably priced! Also in a good location as well. Take out and delivery is available , i had lunch and dinner there.
Hostess was friendly.Went during happy hour on a Tuesday. Waitress didn't really seem happy. Ordered a hookah, nachos, and 1 drink. 20minutes later, nothing. It wasn't extremely packed. When I asked my waitress where's my drink? (I understand if she may have forgot) she said well I can't bring drinks unless she makes it *pointing towards the bar that had no1 standing behind making anything at that very moment, tho I Ordered when someone was standing there*. Waited another few minutes & NOTHING reached our table. Got up & left.Music was cool ??♀️
