Great experience. The atmosphere was great, food and drinks were excellent
This restaurant has been a favorite of ours for years! Delicious food, great wait staff, large portions, etc.
I would give it no star. The food is horrible no taste. I ordered a seafood risotto and instead of risotto, they used short-grain rice. The cost was 38.00 dollars. Stay away from this place. We had a large party and two people who ordered the chicken parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana said the sauce was good. It's been many years since we stop going to this place. My son graduated and he picked this place. So I decided maybe their food is better now. We will never give money away. The check was over a thousand dollars. which it's ok if the food was tasty and get real risotto. I don't recommend this place.
2.5 if I could but needs better attentive service. Our waiter was faster and more attentive to bigger tables which is understandable but our first time, celebration birthday not very memorable. Plus loud music from a prom and the bathroom was disgusting. Unfortunately our chicken and shrimp got mixed up when they did our food to go and my wife is highly allergic to shrimp.
one of the best Italian restaurants in the city, the service and staff are amazing, it's worth our drive from south queens to the bronx
Hey guys!! Had the worst experience here today, the waiters are very racist! They didn’t want to serve me or my friend from we walked in and the waiter had a disrespectful attitude. Then he tried to attack us outside for not tipping when he was being racist and he started yell racial slurs and homophobic comments towards me and my friends. I suggest do not go to this restaurant if your African American, very unprofessional!! Can’t believe racism still occurs in New York City!!
Consistently excellent. We have enjoyed both catered events and lunch or dinner at The Pine. The food is fresh and delicious. The servers are courteous and accommodating BUT do not try to make a last minute reservation. Plan ahead. Same day reservations are tough to get. You won't be disappointed. From the fresh baked bread, to crisp salads, to tasty wings, to the extensive menu, you can't make a wrong choice.
Enjoyed dinner at the Pines this evening. Overall the service was OUTSTANDING! My server was cordial and attentive. The restaurant was superbly clean including the bathroom. Spacing of tables was appropriate for having enough privacy while dining. As for the food. Bread was warm and toasted perfectly. The salad was fresh, crisp and the dressing was delicious.I ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. It was just ok. The shrimp were colossal and there were 6 but they were a bit tough. The lamb chops with rosemary were UNBELIEVABLE! Cooked perfectly and there were 6 double chops. Amazingly tasty. Highly recommended. The dessert was described (on the dessert menu) as NY style cheesecake with graham cracker crust. That’s the only cheesecake I’ll indulge in. However, this cheesecake did not have graham cracker crust. It had that spongy cake crust. The cheesecake itself was not smooth and creamy. The slice of cheesecake was not worth $12, so I’ll definitely pass next time I visit.Portions were BIG.The price is reasonable and the restaurant itself was welcoming.Overall 4 stars and of course I’ll be back.
This is a great restaurant with a bar you may choose to sit at a table or the bar, depending the occasion. Family meals are great here. The bar is stocked with quality drinks and wine. Large dinners and events may be held here as well. Need a restaurant in the heart of the Bronx? This one is it! You won’t ever be disappointed.
Found this restaurant thru an on-line search for a big place to host a modest family gathering. Turns out this is a very well-known (borderline legendary?) place in the Bronx for excellent food, attentive service and might I say very large portions! Enjoy a relaxed, filling meal here with some NYC ambience!
