Food was good. I had rye toast with turkey bacon with eggs and grits. It's a beautiful tropical paradise diner. ?
I usally come to this dinner with my husband and kids. Today I walked in on my own and sat by myself. Immediately one of the owner tells the waitress to ask me to stand up from the booth because I was by myself. Then another waitress approaches me and says that if I was only ordering coffee and toast I could not stay at their establishment. I told them that I was starting with coffee and toast because I’m a slow eater but that I was going to order my meal as soon as I was ready. The owner kept sending back his employees to remind me that I must but a meal order in order for me to continue sitting at their establishment. This is not only ridiculous but beyond unbelievable. For one I could have gone to another establishment, instead I like to support my local neighborhood business. I’m embarrassed and ashamed that people like these own a business in my community.
I have been to Corky's many times; however, the restaurant doesn't care if a customer is allergic to certain food. I Home fries in this particular restaurant is saturated with pepper, which I am allergic to it. I asked if it was possible, to get some home fries without pepper but waitress came back and said NO, that is not possible. Bottom line, I love home fries but cannot eat it at Corky
When I lived in this Bronx, I went a few times to this Diner and foos and service were excellent!
I've been visiting Corky's since it was on the other side of grand concourse. Everyone at the restaurant are amazingly polite and helpful. The wait time is to be expected since many many people go to buy all types of foods. I visited a week or two ago with my girlfriend. Service was excellent and they even came out and organized the seats for us to sit. This is a 5 star definitely.
Had dine in service in the afternoon. It was at 90% capacity and we were seated right away. Waiter was friendly. The place itself seemed a little outdated, this place has been here a while. Overall good experience and the food was as it should be, well made and delicious!
Corky's Diner is LITERALLY one of the best little diners in the world!!!!!! Delicious food and AMAZING wait staff!!!! Between 9am and 12pm they get REALLY busy!!!!! They have outdoor dining if necessary!!

Corky's is a very good place to grab breakfast and lunch. It can get a bit crowded for inside dining but delivery is a wonderful option too. They were very accommodating and attentive to my group of 10. We were seated together and treated to the best of the staff's ability. My only complaint is, the staggered meals coming out to my group. It was so unfortunate because we had one person, that didn't get their meal until everyone else was nearly done eating. But overall, I'd say the experience was a good one and recommend eating at Corky's.The food was really good!
