This place is not extremely good or horrible, it is bare minimum. Nice staff with clean and fresh quality food made on the spot which is nice. The downside is there's no indoor seating and takes a long time to prepare and kind of pricy. I would recommend stopping by if you're in the area, but by no means go out of your way. Perfect for lunch, break or grabbing a quick bite alone because lack of comfortable seating.

Amazing food but I am disappointed that the restaurant no longer offers no table service and is now cash-only. Plus they didn’t have many items on the menu, so I felt limited food-wise. It’s a unique restaurant in this area and I just hope they resolve these issues soon!Update: thanks for replying to my review! Appreciate y’all sm for the engagement and am glad you survived the pandemic. Looking forward to visiting again and eating your amazing tuna bruschetta!

Cool small lil place - No Actual Japanese people or cooks here but a cool Mexican spot that makes Japanese like food. - service sucks- place is not black people friendly and the prices are ok but do not include the fact that the more you buy the less items you get- ordered 3 rolls but got three pieces of ginger when each fool is supposed to come with that amount.. this business is while owned - employs community members with an all Mexican cooking team and I think one black guy. - personally I’m never going back here again

The Yellowtail Sashimi App is decent. The sushi is tasteless. So overpriced.

The chicken pad thai has a nice little Latin flair to it

Terrible service. They delivered the entirely incorrect food and provided me with no reason for the error after I paid the delivery free. Only do pick up from this restaurant and check your orders.

This spot always come through with the delicious lunch specials!

Not as good as it used to be… all food delivered to the table at the same time. Edamame is cool and sushi is warm :/

This place has been holding it down for a while now and I gotta hand it to em for that. The sushi is ok. Not great, but it’s there and having a neighborhood place like this is always nice.

I'm over the shock but there are still the stages of grief to go through...kind of like how you feel when you've lost an old friend. No more dine in/ table service at Ceetay post "renovation" - a real shocker for those of us looking forward to enjoying quality sushi and sashimi in Ceetay's quirky dining room under the eyes of attentive wait staff and a glass or two of wine. The restaurant has moved to a takeout only model-- and while we have to assume it was a business decision, it's not clear it's the right one. To be fair, you can still dine (almost) on the premises- if you don't mind schlepping your takeout order to one of the tables that have been set up outside on the sidewalk. There you will eat your sushi from a biodegradable tray -replete with little foil packets (not biodegradable) of soy sauce-that I struggle to tear open.Wine is still available, but you'll be drinking from a plastic cup."Going out for sushi" is a special occasion for us and an important part of the experience is to be able to dine in. A destination sushi restaurant offering fresh fish at reasonable prices combined with a great atmosphere and table service...and best of all it was right here in south Bronx: that was Ceetay's value proposition and key appeal for us. My household rarely-if ever-does sushi on a takeout basis and we're disappointed that once again we have no choice but to travel downtown to enjoy sushi as we like. Those of us who live in the Bronx are unfortunately all too familiar with the downgrading we're subject to by some enterprises that do business here-- we just never expected a regression like this from Ceetay.
