Great food! Great restaurant if you are looking for that “ on the water scene”. Staff was amazing. Will def be back!
Went to restaurant for an anniversary lunch with 4 people Wanted to seat close to the water we were told my hostess and other young women that only available table near water was for 5 people. No reservations taken for lunch. Would not seat us at the table. Upon leaving the table was occupied by a family of 5 with one child in a stroller. Very upset since there were other tables of 5 available. Not happy with the response and attitude of the staff. Waiter was very nice. I know he had nothing to do with seating. Will not return. Btw. Bill was $300. I think we were good customers. Their loss.
It was an early lunch on a Memorial Day Monday with perfect weather and the perfect parking space at FatFish. This was my first visit to this establishment. I was greeted pleasantly by some great young ladies and I wish that I could share their names but I was preoccupied by the view of the Great South Bay so I neglected to collect them. However, they are due respect and acknowledgment nonetheless. We are seated in a prime seat outside aside the bay view. We ordered a Beet salad that was slightly substandard but the Cerezo and peppers in a red wine sauce was excellent. After sharing this two starters I immediately set my eyes on the locally caught Striped Bass. Eloquently prepared without overwhelming the fresh fish with seasoning or sauce. However, the highlight of our afternoon affair was Maria. She was kind and knowledgeable with the ability to converse wittingly. She was the most pleasant surprise that I experienced as she put hospitality back in the hospitality industry: helpful and for sure a front of the house asset. Thank you Maria.
Well, many bartenders waiters and waitresses at other fine establishments have suggested this place once they have gotten to knoe me. I won't mention there names here. Let me preference this review by acnologing that all of the food service establishments are having a very difficult time now balancing quality and price in these times of unprecedented cost increases. From cost of product to cost to delivery. This owner/chef is doing a pretty good job of it.The lobster biscue. A little to watered down but still packed with flavor. Not sure how he's able to do it. I would suggest a quart less water, or better substitute a quart of water with white wine and charge a dollar more per serving. The saffron mussels, I have difficulty trying to improve on it, but will try. Again packed with flavor but obviously a little extra water to, as my mother used to say "stretch the soup".There is an expense connected to this meal. If you eat to live and prefer shoving white castle sliders down your throut, do not come here. You will only be disappointed and post a bad review. If you live to eat, give it a try. The chef knows what he's doing. The atmosphere is great, even better as the summer progresses.
We just had 80 people there for our wedding, out on the patio. Brian did an incredible job with the food, everything was excellent!! Myself and my family have been in the restaurant business for many years. We all agreed that the wait staff was the best we have ever come across. Attention to detail was perfect as well. Very fairly priced and we could not have picked a better venue to celebrate. I give this the highest recommendation possible. Anywhere else will be second best. Thanks to everyone there ??❤️!!
My mom & MIL hosted my baby shower here recently, and it was am amazing day! The food was great, and the space we were in was perfect!! Hoping to come here for a meal with my husband sometime soon!
Amazing place with really good food and the staff are equally friendly ??
30 mins wait time to be seated, service is a bit slow. Food was amazing tho and I'll definitely go back. I had the best chocolate tore with hazelnut ice cream.
