So I just ordered a calm stew chicken rice n peas. Rice was cold and tuff, no flavor just seem like they boil rice n kidney beans alone. Chicken taste fresh have a raw kind of after taste. Cabbage was ok only ended up eating that and wasting my money and lunch time. Very disappointed. Stew chicken rice n peas so easy to make how U eff that up ??
The service is WHACK!! The ladies that work there have no personable skills. They present with bad attitudes! SMH! The food is ok...Tropical Jerk's food is way better.
The food’s good [hence the 3 stars]but whatever you do,don’t order over the phone. Person taking the order was rude. Rushes you off the phone, and gives you an attitude when you’re trying to order more items and give them more business. Go figure.Edit: dropping the review by 1 star because after all of the attitude and rushing, they didn’t even hear the whole order and only made part of my order. Some people should not be working phones. Next time, actually listen to what the people paying are asking of you and give them a reasonable amount of time to order their food!
I ordered jerk chicken. It was on point, but the portion was small for a large. I’m going to order jerk pork next. Hope it’s just as good.
My wife and I had a dentists appointment a few doors down from here, so we thought we’d try them out for a take-away lunch…we were NOT disappointed!! We ordered Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Curry Goat and Barbecue Chicken, and they were ALL fantastic!! Fair prices, great portions, tasted as good, if not better than, anything we’ve ever had anywhere outside of Jamaica…we’ll be BACK!!!
This is the third time I ordered and they always get something wrong. I keep trying and giving them a chance and support local businesses. Then when I call to speak to a manager, there is never a Manager there. How do you run a business??? Then each time I call all they say is oppps sorry come get it. The reason I ordered delivery is so that I do not have to go outside. So you just lost a customer. It is not like you are busy. Your place is never too busy that they can't double check the order before it goes out. Take pride in your work and make sure orders are correct when going out. Someone orders deliveries so they do not have to leave their house. Also the lady who answered the phone told me to order for delivery again and they will include it in the order. So they want me to triple pay for their negligence. DO BETTER. THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.
This is the best jerk chicken I've had in Long Island! Ignore those 1 star reviews because the food was fresh, full of flavor and mouth watering. I'll be coming back to try other items .~Asha ❤️
Red snapper fish festival was fire. Well flavored and very delish!!! Closer to home and got much tastier that th Jerk place on Grand Avenue which their fish is over dry and lack flavor.
We moved to Baldwin a year ago and heard the food here was good. It was, the first time we ordered.My daughter lives in East Islip so she ordered her food to take home. When she heated it upIt spoiled. My son also ordered the jerk chicken fried rice and his food also spoiled.Don’t waste your money. Fresh food won’t spoil when you heat it up. They deserve zero stars.
The steam fish with veggies was excellent. The Jerk pork was also good.
