Yaar has one of the best lamb saags that I have ever had, and everyone raved about the samosas. The portions are hefty, often leaving enough for full second meal (or splitting one entree between two people). I cannot recommend Yaar enough. Additionally, I love spicy food and often find it hard to get a nice level of spice, even when I ask for it to be "very spicy." Yaar's version of "very spicy" is wonderful!
Amazing Food. Amazing Service. Very fun and exciting.A lot of food compared to the price.
This was my first time at this Indian restaurant. The ambiance was very cozy and relaxed. The service was friendly and very accommodating. I had the 3 course meal for 19.99 which was really delicious. The chicken samosa and tikka masala was mouthwatering! And the kheer dessert was tasty. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant or ordering delivery. A+
We got Chicken tikka Marsala, cheese naan, chicken biryani, chicken samosas, and papdi. Great food and great service. Friendly environment. Empty plates but full tummy. :) would definitely recommend.
Visit here frequently! Food is always delicious and I'm yet to find another Indian restaurant that top this. Reminds me of when I lived England when I first found out about Indian food and Yaar brings back pleasant memories
Second night in a row I'm ordering from these guys I love their food that much. It's been a while. Trying to keep things minimal for the time being. Their dinner special is awesome. It;s like eating sunshine.
I have not come here for over two years due to the pandemic had lunch on Monday, March 8, 2022. So happy I returned I love the service I love the food I love the ambience and I like the music. Everything is what I expected and even more of course I will return and recommend
A decent local Indian spot right on Ditmars Blvd, however, having been to many great Indian restaurants outside of NY this place fell short. The interior, although spotless, felt sterile and unwelcoming, definitely didn't have the cozy atmosphere that I typically get in Indian restaurants.Food was okay; we ordered the 3-course dinner which came with an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for $18 per person. The samosa I ordered was spot-on, fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. Curries were a hit as well, yet despite that, they didn't mask how overcooked, dry, and tough the chicken was and the rice similarly bland and dry. Thankfully we ended our meal with a fragrant bowl of kheer. The meal felt like a roller coaster, a mix of good and not-so-good qualities.
Love yaar Indian’s veggie samosa and cant get enough of their tandoori wings. Also their special mixed biriyani is a must every time i order from them.
Food is rich and delicious and has been consistently high quality. You can taste the care their chef puts in. Samosas are crisp, packed with flavor and a must add on. Naan have that perfect mix of fluffy and oven toasted. Recommend the Papdi chaat, I dip a cheese Naan in the left-over tamarind and cilantro sauce. Delivery comes hot and don't forget the Mango Lassi
