Today we had the pleasure of eating at Sac's Place at Kaufman Movie studios.Baked stuffed clams, basil pizza and handmade gnocchi... everything we ate was fantastic. Drinks were great too.Service was awesome, super attentive and cordial. The owner was there, and came over to talk to us, super friendly guy... gave us the background info that many of the recipes on menu are his grandmother's and go back over 100 years. This place is a gem.
Our table shared two pizzas - pepperoni and a mushroom, onion, ricotta combo. Both were the Classic crust. Absolutely delicious! The service was attentive and fairly quick. The decor was very nice; this was a great spot for a family group to dine.
Great location at Kaufman Astoria Studio. Unique setting outdoors open air bar and seating. Pizza ovens right there. Pizza is terrific. Other Italian favorites also available. Perfect for a late afternoon bite and glass of wine. Some limited selection on liquors outside bar, but overwise it fine.
Walked up at 9pm and ordered 3 slices of pizza: cheese, pepperoni, and mozzarella with basil. They were heated up while we waited. My first time eating New York pizza. It absolutely did not disappoint. The crust was thin and crisp but not crunchy. The flavor was amazing. I liked the plain cheese best. In fact, we ordered a second piece of the cheese. While I was waiting for my second slice, the owner came over and we chatted about pizza. He was so nice and welcoming.Very glad we came here.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding dinner party at Sacs and we could not have been more happy. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff are extremely professional and friendly. Anthony, the owner, is such a sweet man and made sure everything went smooth on our special day. Thank you !
Excellent slices!!! Definitely recommend if u r in the area
Portnoy you missed the mark on this one. The pizza here is amazing. The owner and his son are great people, just met them but they treated me like family. The pizza is better than anything I had in Manhattan, sorry John's of Bleecker.
I like the food but the reason I put a 4 instead of a 5 star is because the pizza isn't good anymore and I liked the old ones better.
Their food is fantastic, service is amazing, and drinks are delicious.Their chef came out to recommend what sauces are the best and takes joy in us enjoying the food. If you haven't tried this spot, you need to.Their baked clams are yum, so are their gnocchi, pizzas, pastas.Old fashion is tasty and if you're in for a dessert, the espresso martini is SOOOOOO smooth and aromatic.
Wonderful staff, delicious food. The new place has such a lovely atmosphere. Be sure to check it out.
