Tiny spot with great coffee and very much a neighborhood, community feel. There are stools and benches just outside so you can lounge under some shade. The owner (?) is extremely friendly.
True to name, this place provides a really well balanced shot of espresso - I loved it. For those that love the taste of unadulterated coffee, i recommend this stop highly!!

I lived around the corner (literally) from this establishment for almost a year and a half and I've never had a bad experience. Genuinely this is the best coffee I've ever had. Anyone I've brought here has said wonderful things about their drinks and pastries. When my cousin stayed at my place for a week he went several times to Balancero and still raves about it! I hold this establishment and those who work there in the highest regard. Seriously the customer service is absolutely incredible as they truly made me feel like Astoria was my home. Thank you so much!!!
Absolutely our favorite coffee shop in Astoria! The owners/staff are extremely friendly and they remember what you always order! Love stopping by and getting a coffee while walking our dog in the neighborhood. I definitely recommend coming here for amazing coffee and tea, excellent service, and delicious pastries <3
The coffee is incredible, both drip and espresso are perfectly done. They have punch cards which are increasingly hard to find at NYC places. When I mentioned to the owner early my first morning stopping by that I was new to the neighborhood, he greeted me warmly and gifted me a fresh croissant as a welcome gift. This is my new spot no further questions. They make me feel right at home every time

Very good Cappuccino but the the overnight oats were the best I've ever had. It's convenient to have the walk up window. I really liked the modern design of the shop and the elephant design on the merchandise. Will definitely be coming back for more.
