Food is amazing but service is terrible!!! They show up every 40 minutes, very grumpy girls. Such a shameANSWER TO THE OWNER:The review wasn’t double. It was 3 different people having a horrible experience at your restaurant. I have been at this restaurant multiple times for over a year and the experience is always the same: terrible service. Even though I appreciate the free round of drinks (after you reading our review) I don’t go to your restaurant for free drinks, I go to your restaurant for the good food and hoping to receive good service. But that’s never the case. Instead of saying that I am a one star customer, you should use this as constructive criticism since after evaluating other 1 star reviews is obvious that we are not the only people that appreciate the good food but dislike the terrible service that is being offered at this place. Train your staff instead of discussing with me. The waiting time for the “check in” wasn’t the problem, the bad attitude and the lack of attention was.
37th time at this restaurant, I come back because it’s close to work and on my way home. The food is incredible. The servers are mediocre to put it gently. 30 minutes without a water refill or any questions in regards to any additional food items after we ordered appetizers. I know this all sounds like a first world problem, but if I provided horrible service to my clients I would be bankrupt. Im in real estate and one of the factors that may differentiate me from another salesperson could narrow down to service. In sales the experience may be the only thing we actually sell. Hope you enjoy the food, it’s great. But I pray you find the patience to deal with the service.
I’ve been coming to Acento since it open but I would have to say that besides the food being amazing the service is excellent and my waitress SARA is the best in the restaurant industry. Thank you Acento for the service and food.
The food was beyond my expectations! Literally my favorite Colombian cuisine restaurant in Astoria. Not only was the food amazing, but the customer service was phenomenal. Specially Sara, she was super attentive and sweet! She is literally the reason why I always come back, along with the food of course. Highly recommend.
I usually do not like to leave bad reviews, however I have visited “Acento” plenty of times and have nothing but good words say and food has always been on point; even the delivery. Superb! This weekend I visited Acento, with my family for a dinner and had a very rude server. Not only did she not attend our table but not friendly at all. She totally neglected a table of 6. Which ideally a server/waiters job should be to attend a table with upmost respect and efficiency. This server came to our table because she recognized her “friend” whom is a family member then proceeded with asking her if she was being helped. Not once did she greet the rest of the table. When I asked her if she would be helping the table, she looked at me like I had offended her. My husband had to keep asking for help. But they all stood by the cashier and ignored us. I was nothing but nice and not rude at all but with this type of service I highly doubt I’ll be back.Acento is such a great asset to the Ditmars community; it just saddens me how the staff can make a location look horrible.As other people commented the staff spendToo much time having a good time and forget there tables.
Second time eating here with my family, got 2 churrascos medium well, they came back dry and hard worst then well done, wasn’t able to eat it. Staff chilling and laughing having more fun then we were , I didn’t bother asking for another steak, first time I went the steak was perfect tho. Also the lights kept changing felt like I was at a club with a loud staff, if the business is struggling then owner you overpaying for staff
Very good Colombian food! The cazuela de frijoles is to die for ..it tastes like my grandma made it so it was very surprising. Also they have an awesome lunch special. Prices are great for the amount of Food you get. Totally recommend.

I come here for date night every Thursday. The food (especially Alambre) is incredible, margaritas are delicious and super strong, the service is always excellent. Hands down my favorite spot in Astoria. They should be packed every night!
