I just moved in the area and decided to try this place out and WOW its delicious!! The restaurant is really clean and the food came out quick. The food is super fresh and full of flavor. I ordered a spicy dish and it was actually spicy and full of flavor. Other Chinese restaurants I have to order extra extra spicy to get even the slightest kick of spice. The Golden Wok hit the spot and it will definitely be my new go to Chinese restaurant.
I’ve been coming here since I was 15 years old. I found bugs in my food. I Called them about it they said next time I ordered it would be comped. I’m not being rude or nasty to these people at all. They tel me they didn’t write it down. I tell them I didn’t slam them on google nothing. And now I lost out on that money. Decide to return after a couple months as that was a gross experience. And I was wanting to place an order regardless and they hung up on me. So wanting to even pay for my food even tho it should be comped Bc their were gray bugs in my broccoli. Which I understand is normal it’s life it happens whatever. But to hang up on me when I’m not being nasty I just wanted to know why I was being treated so disrespectfully as I have been coming here since I was 15. Have told people numerous times it’s the best Chinese place in The area. To at 29 years old to be made to feel like I can’t come here now. Well y’all can keep your bug infested broccoli and I’ll find a better Chinese place then.
I was there yesterday and the food was delish! The people are so friendly!
I ordered beef with broccoli and the beef was tough and the sauce that was on it was watery. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. $7.99 in the trash. Very, very disappointing. Definitely would not recommend.

Anyone who gives this place less than a five-star rating is a chump. The food is exactly what you want when you have a bad day and just need some takeout Chinese, the service is exactly what it should be in a *good* Chinese restaurant, which is to say efficient and dispassionate. I moved away from Buffalo for a few years and was super glad to see this place survived the pandemic, and love to pop in when I'm visiting family in the neighborhood.
Super friendly, always fresh, good prices, and quick service. The sweet and sour chicken my kids ask for from here! Just our go-to place every time!
We have been going to this place for years and it has been consistently good. The food always tastes great and the staff are always very friendly. Good portion size for the money as well.

Where to start? My family and I have been ordering from this place for over 15+ years, and have spent a good amount of money on take out. Was one of our favorite Chinese take out restaurant.I have no idea what is going on in there over the last year or two, but the food that comes out of that door is NOT the same food we have received years prior. Absolutely awful and to be candid, disgusting! The food tastes oily, old, just drenched in salt and soy for flavor and tastes like it's been cooked repeatedly in a dirty wok. Its really bad and not fresh anymore. You don't even get veggies in the veggie lo mein anymore like you used to.Sadly, the last 3 times I've ordered from there, I was in the bathroom hugging the toilet 3-6 hours after eating food from Golden Wok, at one point waking me up in the middle of the night to throw up my dinner. The first 2 times I got sick after eating food from there I thought it was just me, it wasnt until the 3rd time that it happened the I KNEW it was from the food. After that last time from getting sick, I vowed I was finally done with Golden Wok and never ordering again. Something has changed there and not for the good.I found a new Chinese take out place that is amazingly good! I forgot what fresh Chinese tasted like because I had been ordering from Golden Wok for so long.
