As another adventures in brunch we decided to hit up this location since we tried the one in Latham. And again I neglected to take pics. I'm sorry I know I'm slacking.....Was a nice day so sat outside. Got my normal Bloody Mary (I believe all locations have the make your own BM bar set up), mimosa flight for the daughter and kiddie mimosa for the grand princess.I wanted a burger but didn't want to bother with a special request since it was still brunch hours. So I went with the chicken n biscuit skillet. Daughter got the same. The Grand Princess got the breakfast tacos. They were full of fluffy scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage. I can't remember what she picked. This time I asked for extra gravy anticipating the extra dry biscuit but hoping it would not be the same here. It did not help. Maybe if there was only a top piece it might be manageable but top and bottom was too much. Had the same issue at the other location - same recipe perhaps. Other than that the food was good and the service was excellent.
Fun place. Food is good. A variety of beers is nice. The waitstaff has always been very nice. It seems there is one person waiting on the inside and the outside and that's not really enough. The mac and cheese and the French Onion Soup come in little cast iron pots that are adorable Mac and Cheese, French Onion Soup and a burger is what I have had there and all yummy.
I have enjoyed the Latham location, however I went to the Albany location. Food was good unfortunately we were ignored. I got my own silverware off an empty table. No refills no one check on us at all. I went to the bar, where much of the staff were chatting, for my water for a second time and I was met with hostile staff. They were very unprofessional toward me to the point where my grandson interrupted the server to remind her I was his grandmother and to be kind. I will never go back.
Great food. Our waitress was so awesome!!!
Service is great, lots of craft beer on tap. Super loud atmosphere, but it's probably better when you can get a patio table. Great seitan wings, but taking off a star bc this is the only place I've ever eaten that charges $1.50 if you want any sauce at all on your wings.
I don’t typically write reviews but feel I have to after my recent experience. Came for lunch on a Thursday. Not packed by any means. The music was incredibly loud so much so we had to yell over it talk to each other. I guess that would be fine on a packed Saturday night or something but not a weekday lunch when you just want to relax and eat. Also they bafflingly left the front door open which let a cold draft in. Why? It was 50 degrees out and raining. We waited for a table for 5 plus minutes while two staff members had their backs to us on their phones. Eventually one turned around and told us to seat ourselves. While ordering I told the waitress I wanted gravy fries with my meal for us to share not as an appetizer. She acknowledged this but brought it out as an appetizer anyways. My Fiancés burger was well done though she ordered Med rare. Gravy fries had barely any cheese curds. My chicken was quite dry. The whole affair took an hour 15mins and cost about $80 with tip. No booze. Seems real steep for a sub par experience. Not a fan.
The onion soup is better than sex. The Adirondack Dip is tasty. Chris the bartender is very hospitable.
Service was some of the worst we have ever had. Previously been to the one in Latham and had great service and food. At this Albany location we waited over an hour for her to take our drink orders, another hour after that to take our food order. And then when the food came out, (one person at a time about 15 minutes apart, with the last person getting their meal 50 minutes after the first person), the orders were simply not complete. Every dish was missing main components of the meal. Save your time and go somewhere else
Ordered takeout. Abysmal. All around. Some of the food was inedibly burned. I like my bacon so crispy it borders on burned. This was charcoal. Onion rings also inedible. They were black. Very clearly burned. How someone had the nerve to throw that in a to go box is beyond me. Burgers were woefully underseasoned, essentially flavorless. Pretzels were not identifiable as pretzels. Stale sticks of yeasted dough. Honey mustard dipping sauce seemed more mayo than mustard. I'm confused and so is this restaurant.
We ate at the Tipsy Moose Tavern in Albany and the service was excellent, the food delicious! We couldn’t even eat half of the portions! The maple sweet potato fries are awesome (along with everything we ordered)!! Such kind staff they all did a wonderful job! Left very happy and definitely full…so glad we tried this tavern! We will definitely be back 5⭐️
