This place had absolutely amazing food! We had no idea what to expect, and should’ve made reservations, but they were able to seat us and we are just so glad they did. The waitress was slammed and apologetic. She couldn’t have been nicer. The Coup DeVille was absolutely out of this world. The Hot Chick Soul bowl was also amazing. We will be making this a part of our regular rotation. Did not disappoint!!!!

1) Biscuits with Honey Butter - Cold, hard, and stale biscuits with not even a teaspoon of honey butter provided. 2) Fried Green Tomatoes - Cold, soggy breading with inedible soggy lettuce underneath. 3) Side of Coleslaw - Colorless, flavorless, clearly NOT FRESH 4) Side of French Fries - Nasty frozen fries (not hard to make hand cut french fries!) that were cold and limp even though I requested "extra crispy" 5) The WORST: Nashville Chicken Sandwich - Cold TINY greasy fried chicken thigh on a crappy bun with jarred nasty pickles and about a tablespoon of the gross OLD coleslaw. AND ALL THIS CAME TO $79.00!!!!!!!! What the actual..... you know what??? Horrible food and a total RIP OFF.

Get the Mac n cheese!!! Short rib Benedict was good... slightly mushy waffle with all the sauce on it and the waffles with chicken sandwich was surprisingly a little bland and not cheesy at all. Got a side of the Mac which mDe me regret not getting the entree. Would definitely go back.

very good food. enjoyed every bite. deviled eggs and grits like I've never had before. packed house. make reservations. typical Albany parking so get there early.

This place is absolutely amazing ! Chicken and waffles were delicious! My husband got the short rib hash and it was also amazing . We will definitely be back !

The Cuckoo's Nest has a lot of great reviews and I can see why: their food is tasty, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the staff is pleasant. All the makings for a great dining experience. With that being said, I placed an order for take out over the phone. I did find their menu a bit lacking in descriptions of some menu items but the person who answered the phone was able to answer my questions and provide suggestions.Sadly, I forget to get pictures of our order as we were hungry and the food looked to good to wait to dig in!Based on other reviews here, I ordered the Grit Tots which is just that: grits formed loosely into the shape of a tater tot. Served swimming in a delicious, somewhat spicy, cheesy gravy, there are only 5 taters. Think about that when you order them as you're not going to want to share. We also had the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich. Nashville Hot, in this case, means SPICY. I got the sauce on the side which, for me anyway, was a good option. The other sandwich we got was the Crave Chicken Sandwich. Again, not knowing how spicy it might be, we got the sriracha mayo on the side. I found the mayo as not too spicy. The two sandwiches both come with pickles and one with slaw vs the other with lettuce. The pickles were great as they are crunchy and tangy.I think they might make their own pickle spears. I can't say ours looked very appetizing but they tasted good. A bit too sour/tangy for me but still good. They must have run out of potato salad so we opted for slaw as our side. Based on the creativeness of their menu, I was expecting something unique but It's a good, standard, mayo-based slaw.Based on other Yelp reviews, we look forward to going for brunch...and everyone, including the restaurant's own website, says Make Reservations for Brunch! The restaurant looks clean and comfortable. The two staff members I saw were quite pleasant and wore masks. It is street-side parking there so plan accordingly.

Hella good, tasty sandwich, good atmosphere.

Really great southern restaurant. To be honest, when we drove up to what appeared to be a neighborhood restaurant, I was skeptical. Super creative menu and tasty drinks. Definitely would recommend!

Attempted to go to this resteraunt in December with a racially diverse group of friends and they were unable to seat us after we booked a reservation. After we left the restaurant to eat at a more welcoming establishment we were called and informed that they would be charging us $20 person person eventhough we were unable to be served. I would recommend anyone with a diverse party to avoid this resteraunt and certainly not give them any credit card information. We were truly saddened by the actions of this resteraunt.

We have been going to cuckoo‘a nest for about 4 years now. This indoor playground is clean, beautiful, perfect size, with all necessary play structures. My 5 and 4 year old boys love going there. The staff and owner are super nice and attentive.I highly recommend this place. We’ve become regulars ?
