Love Ted's fish fry and have for years. This location is nice. There is a lot of seating room and fast service. Food is delicious, however I must say that I always order the same thing. Fish fry with tarter and ketchup and fries. Once in a while if I'm feeling adventurous I'll get onion rings which are good as well.Definitely a staple around here!!
Ted's Fish Fry is delicious! I love the platter with a little bit of everything, it's all good. Usually I get the basic fish fry, it's a piece of fish in a warm roll. The onion rings are delicious but a little greasy. The french fries are good, not great but good. I ordered the calamari once and I cannot recommend it when there is better in most other restaurants. Coleslaw is very good. And I could drink the tartar sauce!!! The clams and scallops are especially good. So avoid the calimari and get any other seafood. It's good!

Gave 2 stars but not for the food but for the pricing of the food. Got a couple of fish fry's and a fish fry dinner.......$49.80 ........Looks like we will not be eating there any time soon. My family loves the food but come on.
Best fish around. Try the chili sauce.
Tried this place because I love seafood and fish fry. Place was good. Quick and tasty lunch with a friendly staff. Was met with a smile when I walked in. Would eat here again.
Western Ave location has a bar and full service!!! Imagine the best fish fry EVER served to you at a bar with a great selection of beers and wine! My clam roll and wife's fish sandwich simply the best!
Great! Enjoyed this new location, and appreciate the attached lounge. Wish the menu allowed you to actually pick two items. I wanted shrimp and scallops, but that combo ONLY came with a piece of fish included.....which seemed to be designed for a family, not an individual. Settled for just shrimp.I'll return, but hope that I'll be able to custom my order at that time.
So Ted's on western Ave OMG! NOW HAVE A BAR WHERE YOU CAN EAT AND DRINK! Sit at the table and your food and drink order is taken and delivered. Best idea ever
Stopped in last week for a fish fry. The kid handling our food put the containers of cocktail and tartar on top of our fish fries after touching them with gloves that who knows when the last time they were changed. I’ve worked in the restaurant biz my entire life and you do not place other non food items on top of the food you are about to serve which someone is about to consume. When I said something to this kid his response was “ well we’ve been doing this for 70 years soooo” he was extremely snotty and rude. I’ve been to every Teds out there and the others do NOT place other items on top of the food they are serving. They are placed on the tray next to your food. Who wants to eat the food after plastic containers (touched by many hands) have been placed on top of it. Had this kid not been such an arrogant rude snot I probably would have just let it slide but the attitude of “too bad so sad” has ruined it for me. I will not be eating at the Western Ave location again. This is a NYS Health dept standard. It’s like when servers line 3/4/5 plates up their arm with the bottom of the plates on top of the food on the plate underneath it. It’s just a NO!!
