Went to teds fish fry on Wold Road as we had recently been to the one In Troy and it was so good. The food was ok, not as good as Troy. What really stuck out to me was how dirty the kitchen was. The ceiling vents were so dirty that the dirt was hanging a few inches. I don’t know why I didn’t walk out right then. I will definitely never go back.
Easy review: you will enjoy your fish fry needs.Longer review:Great local place! First time in there. Reminds me of the place my pop use to bring me to as a kid. If I ever pass by again, I’m making another pit stop. The owner/ manager was on point. Ran this place like a well oiled machine. Very great crew! Even better fish fry and clam chowder! Yum
Absolutely incredible! Food is always great, the chefs have a lot of pride in the work they do. I got a clam roll and the chef personally came out to give me a refund because he wasn't happy with how it turned out appearance wise. Was a very sweet and considerate gesture, food was still incredible!
I was trying to eat healthy, so I got the grilled chicken sandwich (no mustard dressing). The sandwich had no taste and the texture of the chicken left something to be desired. It was gristly and tough. I wound up eating fries for lunch. Sometimes it's better to just eat the unhealthy items.
1st time! I enjoyed my food very much! The clam chowder was thick & creamy. The seafood platter was delicious...I wish the clams were whole belly though. Overall, I highly recommend.
Been going to Ted’s Fish Fry for over 30 years since original location and I am never disappointed! I always get the fish with tartar sauce because guess what?! It’s a “fish fry” joint and that’s what they are known for and how they were able to expand over the years! A simple tasty fish fry that has tasted the same since my first bite over 30 years ago! Always a go to when I am in the area!

The food is great, my family have been coming coming to Ted's since I was 4 yrs ago I'm 52. And will continue to come to Ted's fish fry. You guys are great.
Stopped in last week for a fish fry. The kid handling our food put the containers of cocktail and tartar on top of our fish fries after touching them with gloves that who knows when the last time they were changed. I’ve worked in the restaurant biz my entire life and you do not place other non food items on top of the food you are about to serve which someone is about to consume. When I said something to this kid his response was “ well we’ve been doing this for 70 years soooo” he was extremely snotty and rude. I’ve been to every Teds out there and the others do NOT place other items on top of the food they are serving. They are placed on the tray next to your food. Who wants to eat the food after plastic containers (touched by many hands) have been placed on top of it. Had this kid not been such an arrogant rude snot I probably would have just let it slide but the attitude of “too bad so sad” has ruined it for me. I will not be eating at the Western Ave location again. This is a NYS Health dept standard. It’s like when servers line 3/4/5 plates up their arm with the bottom of the plates on top of the food on the plate underneath it. It’s just a NO!!
Surprised today when entering and being the first ones in today. Had to have the traditional fish fry and as always they are huge and so much better than a fast food burger. Take the extra time to get one to go and be happy with the your selection.
