Horrible customer service. Everytime I've visited the Albany restaurant or food truck, same deal.Food is ok.
This is the place I always come to when I'm in albany NY. I live in Tennessee and can't wait to go to NY and get this food. Love the owner n all his workers
You can't call for orders. Food isn't always available, and the prices are steep, but if you get past this....the food is tasty.
The staff is slow and not friendly at all with the exception of one young lady I had the pleasure of speaking to. I ordered 2 fish fries to go. When I got home I unwrapped them to discover they were overcooked.
First of all this place is super expensive and the food isn’t that great. I ordered fish and got the wrong order so I went back. The little girl that works the front with the braids was very rude! Like if I’m patronizing you’re establishment you should be all smiles. This is why I don’t support black owned businesses. The service SUCKS! she was obviously bothered when I made a complaint about receiving the wrong order. She threw by food at me and I still said thank you. When she turned her back and didn’t respond I said thank you again and she goes “ yup” . NEVER AGAIN. I’d rather support non black businesses where I’m respected . With the bathroom that’s been out of order for 50 years oh and the food is HORRIBLE . Worst customer service ever!!!!
Very good oxtail spot. However I came here twice so far and meat texture was different, it was tougher to chew than the first time. I personally prefer it when it's soft and tinder. But other wise this is a good spot for real homemade carribean food.
Rudest staff in America don’t know how they got 4 stars . I can’t explain how rude they are consistently. The food is good but who cares when you are this unprofessional. I recommend you go anywhere but there. A lot of the locals know this and stay far away. Rude Boys foreal!!!
I absolutely love this restaurant. Whenever I'm in Albany working, this is my go to spot for lunch and dinner. Very friendly atmosphere, and mouth watering ox tail dinners.
I ordered jerk chicken.. The food was to spicy. I literally couldn't eat the food. I spent 15.00 and change a waste of money. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.
On 1/27/22 I came to this restaurant to purchase food. If I can give them ZERO stars I most definitely would. First of all the food is way to EXPENSIVE! I spent almost $100 for oxtails, Rasta pasta with shrimp, and a few other things. The oxtails are $25! (They only offer 1 size). This was my first time here and I will NEVER be going back! The food was HORRIBLE and uneatable. The oxtails we're HARD HARD HARD! The Rasta pasta which had shrimp in it Was VERY BLAND. It tasted it like it was RUSHED! NO seasoning at all .. then to top it all off they forgot my plantains so I had to wind up going back to the store. Then I get back home and realized they forgot a order of macaroni and cheese that I ordered. At this point I wasn't going back ! I came to Albany from out of town to visit and this restaurant was a HORRIBLE experience to say the least. There's a old Jamaican lady that works there that's VERY RUDE AND NASTY AND DISRESPECTFUL. HORRIBLE ATTITUDE. this worker was arguing with a lady which was a customer like myself while I was waiting for my food. The FOOD IS NASTY! PRICES ARE HIGH AND AGAIN THE FOOD IS NASTY! AND THE WORKER WAS ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL. When a person comes in to your establishment to spend $$ with you, being HUMBLE is key ! I CAN'T SUPPORT A BUSINESS LIKE THIS EVER!! THE WORKERS NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING AND FIRE YOUR COOK ?
