The Pearl Street diner is alright. It's nothing fancy, it is a real nice, simple diner with good food. Staff was great location is good. In Downtown Albany. Prices were comparable. No complaints but nothing that separates it from other places too.I've been there before no complaints and I'll go again.
Went in place looked sweet thought the food would represent the beautiful area but food was over priced and honestly they served cheap ingredients that made the food not worth the amount they charged not to add they don’t even have ingredients that was On Majority of their menu. And my sandwich was watery! Bad representation of peal street. Sadly I won’t be going back… Unless that is they were get more authentic and spend on more quality.

Good food and good service but seeing restaurants use plastic to-go sized portions is wasteful and shouldn't be allowed. If i wanted to eat like I was a fast food restaurant id go to one. Stop doing this, and covid has nothing do with it.
I've been here twice now. The waitstaff is awesome. Friendly, timely and always smiling. The owner is a nice man. Reasonably priced and good food.
This diner is a great place to have a quick meal downtown. The food is good and the people who serve it are very nice.
First visit but not the last. Friendly staff. Asked for Eggs Benedict but after 11.30 theu don't poach eggs...so I opted for the Reuben. It was delicious! Our server was friendly without being intrusive. Will come back to try the Eggs Benedict and get there a bit earlier.
Service has always been weird, but I live in the neighborhood and there is not another diner. I was extremely disappointed today as I was looking forward to eating. I was seated at a very uncomfortable table, so asked for a booth kindly. She said they were reserved for larger parties. Understandable. But there were a plethora of booths available. Again local here. I asked again bc my back would not have been ok at the table today. She rudely commented that the lunch rush was coming to fill all those booths. Yeah, I was not going to be there long enough to ruin the lunch rush. Nor do I believe there weren’t enough booths. ABSOLUTEY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE DECISION. I was appalled. Will not be back. Shameful.
Worst "breakfast burrito" I've ever had. Completely burnt scrambled eggs that were practically inedible (had to douse in ketchup to get down, fake bacon bits and a teeny bit of cheese that's not a "burrito". Worked in the attached building for many years and give this place many chances to redeem itself but its still terrible. It also took ridiculous long to check out as the owner seemed more concerned with chatting away about politics then ringing out customers.
