Really disappointed. I'm from South Louisiana, specifically Acadiana Parish, and the food.

I went to the Parish Public House on a Tuesday evening. There was a small crowd, only 1 bartender / waitress and 1 cook. Despite that fact, I have to say the Bartender / Waitress had everything under control. I've seen more staff fall apart under similar conditions. So she's worth her weight in gold. I had the Jumbalya, Which I can only be described as insanely delicious. Loved it!

Staying locally for a few days this was the ideal place to go for an evening meal. Nothing too fancy, just good food and drink. The beer was excellent, went down great. Cider was also very good. The food was well cooked and delicious, and Alex, the server, was very pleasant and welcoming. Couldn't fault her. Food arrived quickly and as I say tasted brilliant. Prices appeared good as well. Only fault I could find is the Windows could do with a clean. If ever we come to Albany again we will return

Food was pretty great and the ambiance was nice and quiet on a Saturday afternoon around 5. The beers on tap were cold and fresh! The cajun wings were a tad spicy but hot and fresh. Forgot to take photos of the shrimp and catfish po boy sandwiches, but they were delicious! The restaurant is centrally located and seems you can take the bus here because there’s a bus depot right around the corner. We noticed a pools table in the back and maybe a table hockey (?) if you need something to do while you’re there. Our server/bartender was delightful and we would return here.

Very nice place with really good Cajun food - we had a Shrimp Po Boy and Gator bites... with a Louisiana IPA ! Makes us want to go back to NOLA. The server was great. We will come back.

I write this, only with the utmost of love and compassion, hoping the bartender will find another job more appropriate to her skill set. That would lead to more personal fulfillment for her, as well. At the same time I hope other worthy patrons will spared poor experience I had.First she walks in and criticizes the conversation or lack thereof amongst the patrons. Sigh.I inquired about an ingredient which she supplied a non answer to. And then she criticized the condiments I was putting on my food, while belittling the care I take of my body due to a food allergy. Exactly what I believe no customer in the history of mankind ever wanted to hear. Anyone who wants to receive a snotty tongue-lashing while they are trying to enjoy a peaceful meal, please give this review a thumbs-down. Miss dandy dietician bartender, please, get a life. I don't enjoy the agita that I get from attitude from the host whilst eating. But wait, there's more. After being unable to find a channel for a customer who wanted to watch something different (actually I was happy because the Rangers were on, could someone please tell me why someone would want to change the channel from the Rangers this time of year... but whatev) she says because she didn't grow up with cable-- that was rich-- she then proceeded to say she hates the local minor league football team because they bring on big crowds. Perhaps you don't know this but real money is made by the owner of your establishment during these very times.Seriously, my fine fellow human being, I'm sure you're awesome and everything but you're in the wrong business. As for the jambalaya, 'twas jambalaya-like. I was looking forward to the flavor of their house made sausage but they must have been running out - I got 4 shreds of it.I'm really sorry I had to write this review but a man has to do what a man has to do.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, great white Russians, and the owner is a great host definitely recommend this place.

Bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. Good food. Served hot. Low lighting and pool tables in the back. ATM available at the door. 2 tvs available so not a sports bar. Nice atmosphere. Get with Cody, he will be behind the bar.

Very cool spot to catch a nice drink and some good food. Also the staff was really friendly and cool. We definitely plan on returning next time we're in town.
