Nice outside atmosphere. Got noisy when larger groups arrived. Attentive friendly staff. No reservations taken. Varied beer options. While not extensive….Good variety of bar type eats from appetizers to burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Food arrived promptly. Good tasty and filling.

In town on business and staying close. Looked to my trusty Trip Advisor to pick my dinner spot. This place popped up as super close and an Irish pub which is always nice. This is an ok bar, a little surprised to see this as one of the top places in Albany. Sat at the bar and the staff was pleasant and professional enough. The Irish whiskey pickings is pretty slim for an Irish bar and the menu doesn’t really have any Irish food on it. No fish and chips so I had a patty melt. Again, nothing really bad but it’s more just a bar than an Irish pub. That’s not a bad thing, it just isn’t more than an average bar. Cheers Albany.

As we were in town to see a show we decided to try McGeary's. We were glad we went earlier than we typically eat as it seems that many other folks at the same idea. We were seated promptly and drinks ordered and brought. I had the house salad and the bleu cheese dressing was great - thick and full of chunks! We both got burgers and though they were cooked to our specifications the meat itself wasn't as tasty as we had hoped. Everything else was just fine and although things got slower as it got busier, we can see why it is a popular spot on a Friday night.

Good food if you have been drinking. Staff is excellent.

Surprisingly good beer selection.

First time ever in Albany and we stepped into this sweet little Irish pub. Nice homey feel as u walk in. Greeted by the bartender as soon as we walked in. She was also very helpful on giving us insights to the city and what to check out. The burger and shoestring fires were excellent. Not sure what they season their burgers with but....wow....yummy all around!! A definite stop if your in the area looking for an Irish Pub to chill at.

Not exactly an Irish bar, but good food and fun atmosphere for a Monday night football game.

Nice pub. Good selection of draft beers, from light to dark, from hoppy to malty. Several different drafts for every palate.

Years ago, in my youngster days, I was a Friday night regular of their sister pub, Hurley's. They had the best wings in the area. McGeeary's was a close second. Fast forward 35 years. Hurley's is long gone and McGeary's doesn't know how to make wings. They come very rubbery and under cooked. I did not know that one needs to ask for them crispy. Unfortunately, crispy means baking in the oven. On top of that, veggies are extra and wings are $1.80 each.On the other hand, my sister ordered a make your own burger which she said was very good. Also, side salads are very good.

Fun environment!! Quick service & tasty drinks
