the live entertainment. and the food. my only complaint is my husband and I went to see a live acoustic show tonight, the karaoke from inside was soon loud you could not hear the live music next time I will say something
Saturday night karaoke.... Yes.... man! Had lots of fun. Only complaint is they served cold beer, sometimes in warm glasses. Made for lukewarm beer.
The bartender was great & very attentive, great crowd & right across the street from some nice hotels! If you have time before your ✈️... stop by!
I had a great time here. I went on a Wednesday day which was karaoke night in which was a lot of fun. I got stuck at Albany airport and had to stay the night at one of the airport hotels. The hotel staff recommended and it did not disappoint. It was packed on Wednesday night and I see why, it seems there are some regulars who regularly frequent this establishment because there were some really good vocalist to say the least. The food was average but not bad. Stay away from the fried green beans. The sandwiches are a solid choice. I got the roast beef with horseradish I think it was called the new Yorker or something. The club is a good choice and it was some good pics. They have an option to get the club with roast beef also. Bartenders were very friendly and they had a full bar with good beer selections. plus they were showing some good basketball games. This was my first time in Albany and I had a great time at Maxie’s. I would recommend especially if you’re there on a Wednesday night.
Stopped in for a drink, the drink was good, the karaoke was interesting, the woman’s bathroom is super small. If you enjoy karaoke check this place out.
Had a few people tell me they're known to put stuff into your drinks to get you messed up. I went there on night had 3 drinks,drank a lot more in the past, got really sick,sweaty,dizzy. Never went back. I believe what these people told me.
Went there around midnight on a Monday holiday because they were (a) near our motel, and (b) open. Looks like the sort of place that would be more crowded and much noisier earlier in the evening, with signs that threatened karaoke, so we didn't expect much. We very pleasantly very surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the servings were both generous and tasty. The chicken wings couldn't have come from any normal-sized chicken--we each made two meals out of a serving--and the fried green beans were delicious and plentiful. Not sure what it's like earlier in the evening, but if you're over by the Albany airport, you should probably give them a try.
A great space for a gathering or parties. Their catering menu is based on the size of the group. Tuesday thru Saturday, they have karaoke as well.
