Came here as a guest with my employer. I was pretty amazed at how clean and comfortable it was. Food arrived. The portions were larger then i expected and the flavor was excellent. Peeked over at the check when it came. I assumed it would be high. However, for 3 people, it came in less then $50. That really surprised me. Took my wife there today as she had never been in the 40 years she has lived in Albany. This is our new favorite spot. Huge menu means we can come frequently and have something new each time. They also have a pastry counter. The cakes, canoli's cookies etc are very professional looking. I have not yet had room after a meal to give them a try, but they look exceptional.
Accommodated our family group of 12 on a busy Sunday morning by putting two table together, without any issue. Great service, food was exactly as ordered, coffee refilled when needed. All good!
Pretty great burger, service was fast. Good taste, could barely eat the entire thing! I enjoyed this place very much.
Had Dinner here with the family while up visiting the College. The diner was great. Food, service, atmosphere- excellent. As Long Islanders, we love our Diners, and we were not sure what to expect. But it checked all the boxes. we look forward to being back for a meal ! well done !
Nice, big diner menu with many pages and something for everyone. Roomy booths with a large dining area. Waitress was sweet and gave us great service. Food was quite good, fresh and tasty. Coffee was a little disappointing, but hey, it's a diner, not expecting gourmet. Would definitely go again and look forward to it.
Such a lovely atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff, even on a busy and stressful night. Their menu is extensive, with a lot of variety, and the food went beyond my expectations. It's the perfect place to go if you're looking for a nostalgic feeling experience with good food and great company :)
This is a decent egg salad sandwich. Great consistency, good mayo levels. Could use more salt and a pinch more mustard… and I always wish we had some diced white onion and/or diced celery in the salad itself. But overall it ate well; too many times I’ve bitten into an egg salad sandwich and 80% of it spilled out the other side. This is a very important factor into my rating. Egg salad 3/5. Adding a star to the review for the wonderful staff and atmosphere.
We've been looking for a good diner since we moved to the capital district a year and a half ago, we've finally found it! So far this is the best diner in the area. Friendly service and all your typical diner food. You can't go wrong here!
We saw this diner on the way to our Albany hotel and assumed the food was good based on all the cars in the parking lot. We were promptly greeted and seated and then had the difficult task of deciding from all the menu items. The portions are more than generous and surprisingly you receive a potato, vegetable and a soup or salad with your entree so come hungry. I was not impressed with the potato salad-very bland-or the cabbage salad, bland as well. But the turkey and dressing were delicious and I only wish I had saved room for dessert - the glass case highlighted their appeal! Food could have come faster but the waitress was hustling everywhere and I assume she had no control over the kitchen. A nice touch is the elderly owner greeting guests and being involved - obvious a family business. I would love to return and try another entree- you won’t go hungry from here!
My daughter and I visited for the first time this evening. Not only did we enjoy our meals, but we were both extremely impressed with the service. Our server was a young man named Nick. When our food came out, he ensured my prime rib was cooked to my liking before leaving our table. Throughout our meal, he was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The woman at the register was lovely, and I watched as she had a sweet interaction with some patrons with developmental disabilities. She was genuinely pleasant to us when we were paying our check. Thank you for a very nice experience, and we're looking forward to the next time!
